Re: NFL 2012 Thread
Johnson had 150 YDs. Foster had 180 YDs and JJ had 3 sacks 10 tackles and 4 tackles for loss. Other than one play, Luck lost more YDs to sacks than he threw at the half. The Texans also had an ass ton of dumb ass penalties, only scored field goals 4 times in the red zone and gave up a 70+ TD On one play. Indy converted 1, yes 1, 3rd down. Yeah, Indy really gave em a game.

Re: NFL 2012 Thread
The Colts made two huge mistakes which directly resulted in a 14 point swing toward the Texans. The Texans won by 12. So yes, we did give them the game with those two plays, which were unforced errors and mental lapses.bane wrote:Johnson had 150 YDs. But of course those great games by Foster, Johnson and Watt didn't mean jack shit in the greater scheme of things, Nahh!!! and Adrian Peterson had nothing to do with the vikes win today either, it was the other teams damn mental lapses.

Texans won by 12, but they scored more than twice that, and didn't make the same costly mistakes in an important divisional matchup.poizond13 wrote:The Colts made two huge mistakes which directly resulted in a 14 point swing toward the Texans. Too bad the Texans couldn't prove ANY of what you just typed. The Colts came in to a tough road game and competed, and were two plays away from winning. The outcome was still in doubt down to the last five minutes of the game. You call that an "easy" win? Texans could have proven they were vastly superior, but they did not. Instead, they looked like a team that's going nowhere fast and will lose early in the playoffs. We will probably beat them at home in two weeks as well.

Re: NFL 2012 Thread
For the record folks, I am not claiming some kind of Texans superiority on the conference. I have huge doubts about my team getting past either Denver or NE. All I'm stating is that they are vastly better than Indy. I don't want anyone thinking Im going all Pusshead 13 on claiming my team's superiority. My team is flawed, massively, but they're better than pusshead's.

I think only one idiot here would dispute that, but He the thinks the guy who leads the league in INT's should be considered in the MVP talks so his opinion has been rendered worthless...for quite some time now.bane wrote:For the record folks, I am not claiming some kind of Texans superiority on the conference. Pete Carroll must be hanging out with Chip Kelly. Or Buffalo and Arizona are that bad. We'll see if the Superchickens can keep the annual Northwest tradition of choking when it matters.

No back pedal involved, BOY. Unlike you, I never make over inflated predictions about my team. They're my team and I love em win or lose, but I call it like I see it and they aren't infallible. Please go fuck off somewhere now. You have been relegated to Mr. Irrelevant. Your team doesn't scare anybody and they just don't matter. They have a last place schedule 's overinflated record and the real teams will roll over them. They're first round fodder at best. They will be a minor speed bump for who ever faces them. The only thing you have to cling to is ROY and your guy is way behind. Re: NFL 2012 Thread
I'm sure you do want the Colts to go away, but we won't. We're going to OWN the division for the next 15 years like we owned it the previous 10. We're sending the Texans back to the cellar, where they belong. Inferior team, inferior franchise, inferior city. This year is already a raging success for us. Going to the playoffs is simply a huge bonus which will pay dividends for years to come. The experience we will gain just by making the playoffs is invaluable, to our rookies and especially Andrew Luck. This type of experience was supposed to come in year 2-3, not year 1.bane wrote:No back pedal involved, BOY. Unlike you, I never make over inflated predictions about my team. The future is limitless for this team. This year we'll win 10-11 games after having the lowest available cap space in the league and a roster that is 70% new compared to last season. Next year we will have the most cap space available in the league and all of our rookies will have a year of experience and at least one playoff game under their belt. Be afraid, boy. Be very afraid.

You probable thought the "outcome wasn't in doubt" back in 2008 when the Texans were leading the Colts by 10 with under four minutes left. Then it finally became apparent that we had Peyton Manning, and the Texans had... Sage Rosenfels.
Needless to say, we won that game.

Not sure if this has been discussed already, but Pete Carroll sure
is trying to piss people off.
Did anybody see his team attempt a fake punt while up by 30 points in the
4th quarter vs Buffalo yesterday?
B.S. move.
If Seattle makes the playoffs, I hope a team runs up the score against his team and you can be sure that Carroll will whine about that situation to anybody media member with a microphone.
Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said he regrets allowing his team to attempt a fake punt while they had a 30-point lead in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.
Carroll claimed that he did not call for the fake punt, stating that the play was part of the Seahawks' original game plan.
"I feel bad about this," Carroll said after the Seahawks' 50-17 thrashing of the Bills in Toronto. "It was part of our game plan. It was something I could have called off and didn't."

I've been playing the "remember when" game for years. I mean, it is a comfort, but an empty one as we all know.bane wrote:
Sage Rosenfells was playing QB for the Texans and you had Peyton Manning. Neither was the case yesterday. You dont have Peyton Manning anymore. You have a guy that takes 4 sacks, throws 180 yds and spends the 4th quarter going 3 and out. It's a new era. Get used to pining for the glory days and playing "remember when".
For example, the Redskins have won three Super Bowls, while the Indianapolis Colts - despite having one of the greatest QBs of all time - only won ONE.
But at some point you get tired of celebrating accomplishments of days gone by. That's why it's great to be a Texans fan, in the middle of a run of Division titles - or in fact, a Redskins fan, in the driver's seat for a division title and a home playoff game, with rookie of the year candidates at QB and RB and a bright future ahead.
But hey...Colts fans will always have Manning, and a really big rear view mirror.
