Skins won an ugly game against the Bears today...9 total turnovers and another 4 or 5 fumbles recovered by the offense.

Cutler was intercepted 4 times by Deangelo Hall. McNabb also played his worst game as a skin but they won.

Philly looked soft today and went out like bitches at the end.
Dallas needs to play a complete game, for 60 minutes and dominate the giants for 4 quarters.

Need to get a victory tonight.

season is over :!:
once Romo went down with the injury, once the defense gave up playing hard every single play, the season was over.
Steve Young was all over Dallas post-game. He was right. 100% correct about everything he said.
i can not believe nobody stepped up(other than Dez Bryant-the rookie) to lead the team after Romo went down.
i hate to say this, but Wade has to go.
obviously the team does not respect him, they don't listen to him, the team does not respond to him.
it's over.
this regime needs a change.

Unless this is the year that finally convinces him that he needs a GM, that team needs a new owner.

Good point.
The process IS NOT working.
Plain and simple.
Enough discussion about how talented the group of players are.
Bottom line-The players are not responding to the head coach.
The team continues to lack discipline.
Last night the defense gave up once Romo was injured. That "talented" defense could have stepped up and stopped the giants from scoring.
Didn't happen.
They bent over for the Giants.
The secondary is weak.
The safeties are weak. I want to kick #43 in the balls for his tackline techniques.

Another coach isn't going to make a difference because JJ won't hire a strong coach. His ego can't take somebody else running his program, so he'll hire another weak coach and the Cowboys will continue their long slide into mediocrity. His entire philosophy is fucked up. He doesnt draft character guys, but he won't hire a strong coach to control his locker room either? How is that supposed to work? The Cowboys suck, and they're going to continue to suck. Can't say that breaks my heart though.

He hired Parcells, didn't he?

I could see him throwing billions of dollars at Cowher to coach this team.

Even these strong-willed ego cases have a breaking point. Look at Dan Snyder in DC - last year was brutal for him. He was the most hated man in DC - and that's saying something. The press disembowled him the whole season. He finally caved and for the first time hired an actual GM.

That's a good point. Jones' history leads me to believe that he won't stick with it though. I think he may go after Cowher, but I don't see the relationship lasting beyond a few seasons. He's done it before, twice! There's nothing to make me think the pattern doesn't repeat. I think Snyder may finally be on the right track, but I'll be interested to see how long that lasts as well.

Yeah, it's certainly going to take more than 7 games for me to be convinced that Snyder is a changed man.

Reports out of Dallas are now saying
Romo won't need surgery.
He still will miss 6-8 weeks.
At this point(unless Kitna gets hot and leads the team to victory every single week), there is no reason to even have Romo suit up for the final game or two.

Season is over!

I have to ask, does that mean you won't be watching any more NFL this season either? :P

the kid has jokes.
i'll watch the Dallas games when they are on national t.v.
i don't have direct t.v., so the number of games i see is at the mercy of local t.v.
i do have the NFL red zone channel. that is another option.
won't be fun watching Dallas get drilled weak after weak. i just don't see Kitna leading the team to scores very often.
feels sort of like '89 all over again, but with much better talent

Kitna is far from the biggest problem facing Big D. Not saying Kitna is an all pro or anything, but he is a more than capable back up. This situation has already spiraled out of control. During lunch today, a colleague who happens to be a Bengals fan was laughing at Kitna. Once I reminded him the # 1 back up on the Bengals roster was none other than Carson Palmer's little brother, my colleague stopped laughing and the rest of us began laughing at him.

First off, I'm on board with McNabb. He's a good QB, he's a winner, and he's the guy to build the team around. Draft a new QB in 2 or 3 seasons. It's not his fault he's playing like shit, that line is atrocious.

Second - get your facts right. There's more to this contract than meets the eye....

"When the extension was initially reported on Monday night, the
reports by ESPN and the Associated Press indicated that McNabb would
receive a staggering $40 million in guaranteed money, particularly
stunning since McNabb was benched by Coach Mike Shanahan two weeks
ago. Could the Redskins have had that significant a change of heart so
quickly?

Apparently not. ESPN got the contract details Tuesday and the real
money is significantly less. McNabb will make $3.75 million in 2010,
and then the Redskins have the big decision to make during the
off-season: whether to pay him a $10 million option bonus. If they do,
it triggers the rest of the contract and he would also be paid $2.5
million in base salary in 2011. But if the Redskins cut or trade
McNabb after this season, they are liable only for that $3.75 million.
In other words: McNabb can’t afford to get too comfortable."

You should be working for ESPN. Replace Mort.
Nice skills you should with your attention to details.

My post was based on what ESPN reported last night.
Those fuckers at ESPN should all go back to school because they seem to be batting around .500 when reporting information about contracts, rumors, etc...
