I've kinda been just okay all year - snuck in on a fairly tight matchup vs the #1 seed this week.
Good luck (I'm the Canuckle Balls)!
My team is pretty average on paper, but I've managed pretty actively to make the most of it this year. Should be a good final.
If anything, I've outlasted my old nemeses Jake and PKOS.

Good luck to you guys, I'm going to go wistfully wonder what could have been...

I'll say this now, while I'm leading so if I lose tomorrow it doesn't sound like sour grapes...
We should really consider, if it is possible, having some sort of weekly innings cap or more balanced pitching stats that don't lead to simply pitching a lot being rewarded (i.e. balancing wins and saves with losses and blown saves).
Throughout the season there are several pitching stats that can be accumulated by just pitching a boatload, and the finals week is always ridiculous - it winds up becoming a battle to add random probable starters as the week goes on, and nothing to do with the team that got you to the play-offs or any brilliantly intuitive pick-ups.

I agree, and I stand by that whether I make a miraculous comeback or not. Personally, I would just add a maximum moves per week constraint, say 2 or 3, and it would kill all this streaming nonsense.
My offence has beyond abandoned me this week, so I've had to go after all the pitching stats uber-agressively. Don't feel good about doing it though. I never heard of most of the guys I have pitching on Sunday!

Same - I loaded up for the day. And then it occurred to me I should go back and add as many other starters as I could to block you, only to find you already had! I have the slight upper-hand with the pitching stats to decide it, but I think you have 7 starters vs my 5 which might help you. It's probably just as well I have batted okay this week because all season pitching has been my strength and that's fairly nullified in a finals match-up.
Whatever the case, yeah, we're playing a game that's not got much to do with what fantasy baseball is meant to be about.

I've always been anti-streaming but when you get into the playoffs it sometimes gets down to piling up pitching stats in hopes of grabbing a category or two. I'd be down for a roster move limit if the league allows it. However, because there are so many factors in play in the last few weeks of the "real" season (injuries, resting people for playoffs, expanding roster size) it may have to be a gentleman's agreement among the playoff teams.

Well, looks like it has come down to our last pitchers to decide it - although I THINK the worst I can do is a tie, and I think I own the tie-breaker. Good final regardless!
And I think some sort of cap would be good - set high to enable normal moves, but just stopping people whipping through 15 pitchers in a week.

You got me. Well played!
Another third of an inning here, or strikeout there, could have made the difference. Can't believe I couldn't win one offensive category this week!
Pleased with my season, got little out of the auto-draft, clawed my way to 3rd in the league, and improved on that in the playoffs.
Speaking ot which; can't wait for the REAL playoffs.
This'll make you sick, but I think that may be the ONLY time I won all the batting stats.
Normally I'd aim to win 5/6 pitching stats (not saves) and maybe pick up a batting stat or two for the win.
Anyway, great season folks, nice to finally win a Sludge league!
