Why the change of heart?

You usually go with the "will of the sports reporters," and and everyone I've seen on the Tv or that there Internet thinks RG3 is gonna be great.

Are we really supposed to believe that this time around you are thinking for yourself and have deduced some kind of conclusion?

I'd also like to announce that for no particular reason I've decided Andrew Luck will be a huge bust and will be backing up josh freeman within 2 seasons.

The change of heart is because I have seen more of him and how he handles himself in the spotlight. I see a lack of focus and a big ego. I see someone that wants to have fun instead of work hard. The media is in love with him because he is a fun person to be around and they're dazzled by him. Doesn't mean he will be a good football player. He's got OVERRATED written all over him.

You're a moron(again).
The same can be said for A. Luck or most of the top 10/15 picks
in this years draft.
None of these players have done one thing in the pro's. They are all OVERRATED until they actually perform in the regular season.
A. Luck has the potential to be a bust. Especially since he was the top pick of the draft.

Luck won't be a bust. He's already shown the willingness to work hard and dedicate his life to the game. Everyone can see he has the talent. The work ethic is what's gonna make him great. He's not out there to have a good time, like RG3. He's there to work.

Your opinion. Based on the smallest amount of info.
Clearly you're not biased at all towards Luck

I dislike the Redskins and want RG3 to fail.
The other year I was completely wrong about Cam Newton. I quickly categorized him as a failure and he proved a lot of critics wrong.
RG3 could do similar. I'll wait awhile to form my opinion on RG3.
As for Luck, he might work hard and dedicate himself to the game, but let's see how he feels after being sacked by NFL players and realize he might not be able to read defenses so well.

You've just guaranteed Luck is a complete washout. That's ok, I'm sure Caleb Hannie will be there to pick up the slack.

Just read the first 2
Dallas exhibition games this season will be on national t.v.

ESPN will televise game at Raiders 8/13
and
NFL Network will televise the 8/18 game at Chargers

I'll probably watch about 2 quarters total between the 2 games, but at least
that will be a clear sign the NFL Regular season will be not very far away.

There's a lot of excitement in Anderson, IN right now. This is the time to find out who we are and what we can be. Coach Dungy visited over the weekend and had some inspirational words for the team. He praised coach Pagano's approach and said the team will be back in the playoffs very soon. Those are encouraging words from a great man.

Granted it's only July, but Luck looks spectacular so far. You can clearly see why he is the player who received more pre-draft hype than anyone in professional sports since Lebron James. Not just his physical skills, but also his knowledge of the offense already, from day one, have been impressive. It's an exciting time.

Thanks for the update. I actually hadn't noticed ANYTHING on Luck in the media.

It's all about RG3 and Peyton Manning. I appreciate you keeping the 99% - those who don't give a fuck about the Colts - in the loop!

Oh by the way Greggles... Happy anniversary buddy!!

Just one year ago today we heard the announcement from Peyton himself:

"'I will be a Colt for my entire career"

On this date last year, we were gathered outside the Kardatzke Wellness Center at Anderson University for a press conference to announce Manning signing a five-year, $90 million contract. The podium was shared by Manning, owner Jim Irsay and then-vice chairman Bill Polian.

There were smiles, handshakes, shared compliments.

And this from Manning: “I will be an Indianapolis Colt for my entire career. I won’t play for another team. My last down of football will be with the Colts. That means a great deal to me.’’

Might as well just schedule the surgery for the week after he plays the Ravens.

ESPN and Jaworski are on the Jets' nuts and the exhibition season has
not even began.
This morning Jaws went on and on about the type of offense the Jets are running during today's practice. Are you kidding me? How bored is ESPN right now?
Discussing an offense during practice on Aug 2nd is just awful.

Part of the sale is that no owner can EVER relocate the Browns. That comes from the city of Cleveland, the NFL, and even Congress. The Browns can't go anywhere. Now, if they'd just put back-to-back winning seasons together and win a playoff game (neither has occurred since the Browns returned.)

The fact that all four major sports league have their own networks is stupid.

I disagree. Each major sport should have a dedicated network.
What I think is stupid is a network like ESPN drooling over a team like the Jets and the plays they are running on Aug 2nd. Do these plays really deserve
to be discussed and broken down on film? I don't think so!
Looking forward to the regular season beginning because ESPN and their exhibition coverage to date is nauseating

Fair enough. I love football. I work H.S. Friday nights for my school's varsity staff. I'm a season ticket holder at Ohio University. I haven't missed a Browns game (thanks to AM radio) since around '83/'84. However, I don't feel any need to sit and watch a channel that is all NFL all the time. Also irritates me that every Thursday there is a prime time game that most of the nation doesn't have legal access to. Same with NBA/NHL/MLB. However, on satellite you have dedicated sci-fi, horror, comedy, etc. so the argument can be made that each league deserves a channel. I just don't dig it.

Damn straight. You know damn well that the Ravens' defense will be homing in on his injured shoulder. If he makes it to halftime I'll be surprised.

More.

*********************************************************

AP source: Browns sold, pending NFL approval

By TOM WITHERS (AP Sports Writer) | The Associated Press – 28 minutes ago

Here's one to make Cleveland fans shake their heads: A partial owner of the hated Pittsburgh Steelers is buying the Browns.

A person with knowledge of the sale told The Associated Press on Thursday that Browns owner Randy Lerner has reached a deal to sell the team to Tennessee truck-stop magnate Jimmy Haslam III - a minority stockholder in the rival Steelers.

Lerner will sell 70 percent of the Browns to Haslam now, with the other 30 percent reverting to him four years after the closing date, the person said on condition of anonymity because the sale has not officially been announced.

Haslam was expected to be introduced as the new owner at a news conference on Friday.

While the papers have been signed, the NFL still must approve the sale. Approval from 24 of the 32 teams is required, and no date has been set for a vote because the sale has not been presented to the league yet. The person said approval is expected by the end of September.

ESPN reported the sale price was more than $1 billion. For comparison, the Miami Dolphins sold at a value of more than $1 billion in 2009.

The Browns were valued at $977 million last year by Forbes magazine, 20th in the NFL.

I spend the first forty years of my career as a Bears fan without a decent QB or WR and all of a sudden they have Cutler and Marshall.

This is going to be weird watching something besides run/run/incomplete/punt.
