Man she destroyed Leslie Smith. No big surprise. Didn't even look like they were in the same league. She's crying because they called it early. But it was a good stoppage imo.

A pretty good card in Brazil. Shame Silva had to pull out.

Good on Bryan Barberena winning his fight. It was a good bout as well. I guess the UFC punishment for him beating Sage Northcutt backfired! lol

The Rua/Anderson fight could have been called either way. It being in Brazil probably had an input on the outcome.

Werdum was reckless and too busy goothing around. Nicely taken advantage of by Miocic.
Yeah,
Werdum was way too busy goofing off. I was so sick of seeing him do that goofy face he thinks is funny. The only time I saw him serious throughout was during the weigh ins
when the two fighters squared off. Other than that, he was all smiles & laughs. Maybe he took Miocic too lately. Similar to the way Conor took Nate Diaz too lightly. And what
was he thinking chasing him around the cage with his head completely exposed like that?
Leslie Smith was lucky the ref stopped the fight. Next step would've been blood, a lot of blood. Cyborg's striking was so on point its crazy. I see Meisha Tate is calling Cyborg out,
but it has to be at 135. Cyborg would take out all of those ladies. Rousey, Holm, Tate, Zingano, Juliana Pena etc etc. Cyborg just needs to do what she is doing. Defend her Invicta
belt & fight whatever catch weight she is offered.
Speaking of Juliana Pena- I went to the Invicta Fights last weekend & she was there. Damn, that girl has a body on her. She dresses like a hoochie mama though.
Overall a good night of fights. Didn't miss Joe Rogan at all, not at all.
It's funny, because I have a friend who makes a similar face when he is goofing around. I didn't realise Werdum made that face until yesterday. And I was watching the fight with the friend who makes the face!

I think Werdum thought he had rocked Miocic so he went in for the kill. And it really backfired.

Maybe. I watched the fight again, and Miocic hit him with a shot before he rushed him like that. I've never seen
Werdum so sloppy like that. And he was OUT! I honestly thought Werdum was going to hold onto the belt for awhile. I guess not.
And him asking for a re match at 200 is beyond silly. I'm getting a little tired of all these fighters asking for an immediate re match.
Crazy to think there were 45,000 people there. I was really looking forward to the Silva/Hall fight. I'm sure that will get racked up
again in the coming months unless they give Hall a fight sooner.

How about how quiet it was when Werdum got his clock cleaned?

No opponent yet. I have a feeling it's either Shane carwin( he tweeted last week he's ready to come back) or mark hunt.

Hunt was my first thought as well. Although the higher ups aren't going to put Lesnar against a fighter like Hunt. IMO Hunt would
knock the f out of him.
As you mentioned Carwin is game. Also read Todd Duffee & Josh Barnett want it as well. Its a little over a month away so they got
to come up with somebody fast.
Good for Bisping. I never thought much of Rockhold. He just clunks around the ring & kicks. Yes, those kicks are lethal, but if he
doesn't get those, he clunks around some more. He took Bisping way too lightly & was a poor sport after the fight. Did I think
Bisping was going to win? No I did not. I thought if he had any chance he would have to take Luke into the championship rounds.
Gotta love the Hendo fight. I didn't even see that elbow until they showed the replay. People love Hendo! He should retire, and go
out a winner. The guy is a legend.
Overall, a great night of fights.

Anybody watch the first fight on Fight Pass?
The way those two were going at it, it was like out of the movies or something.
It was like action movie type fighting. Almost cartoonish what was going on. Crazy!

I wanted Faber to win. I just can't get into Cruz's fighting style.

I wanted to see Rockhold vs Weidman 2. Stupid injury bug. But, Bisping vs Weidman will be good too. Lesnar returning came out of nowhere! Wasn't expecting that to happen, AT ALL.

Once Faber got knocked down in the 2nd rd he couldn't get back on the horse. I'm not a fan of Faber, but he was a class act in defeat. Bisping vs Weidman? Don't know if that will happen anytime
soon. Weidman is out until end of year. What about Bisping vs Hendo 2? Probably not.

Rambling thoughts on UFC 199...

Faber needs to retire. He's skilled enough and has enough experience to last 5 rounds, but man he looked like he just couldn't pull the trigger in there. Looked like a guy that was just trying to survive 5 rounds.

Holloway/Lamas was fun to watch. I don't know how Holloway does against Mendes, Edgar, Aldo and McGregor, but he has sure as hell earned his number 4 ranking and a shot at Mendes to see.

Poirier looked great. Always happy to see cocky assholes get knocked on their ass.

Henderson is amazing for a 45 year old. Hope he retires on that strong finish.

Rockhold just can't help coming across as a douchebag. It just pours out of him. He can't even pretend to be a decent guy. Bisping loses the belt in his first defense. My guess against Rockhold in a rematch since Wiedman is having surgery next week.

As far as the "style" of Dominic Cruz... GIFSoup

Same here. Cruz is so elusive but I find him boring. And yeah, that was the last chance for Faber. Good guy, but maybe time to step down.

Overall this was the best card of the year imo. Every fight was really good. Bisping winning was so good. Finally good to see a Brit with the belt. This was his last chance and he took it. I don't think he will be able to retain it. But he won the championship and beat Anderson Silva this year. So happy for him. And agree with others the Rockhold comes across as a doucebag. I'm sure people were booing him in his own state! lol

Oh, and I think only Bisping thought he would win. Even his kids though the 'other' guy would win.
According to the bookies, it was the 3rd biggest upset.

They must not be selling as much as predicted. I guess losing McGregor will do that.

The Brock Lesnar fight is second on the bill! Above two title fights!

I don't get the hate for Cruz. He nailed Faber a number of times & at the very least tried to finish him. As I mentioned before, once Cruz knocked Faber down in the 2nd rd, Faber looked lost & had zero game plan.

Although the Brazil card was good, I agree with you on best card of the year. I don't think there was one turkey fight, all enjoyable.

Read on one of the websites Mark Hunt was told a couple of weeks ago to be ready to fight on the 200 card. Hunt vs Lesnar would be awesome. People love Hunt! Maybe Hunt was just blowing smoke to get the fight.

Mir is another possibility, but he got popped recently so I don't know if he can fight or not.

Is it me or do you guys think Holloway doesn't have a chance against the higher ups in division? Yeah, Mendes would be an excellent test for him.

Betting question- so Bisping was a +600. Does that mean if you bet 100 bucks on Bisping, you win 600 times that amount? Or does it mean to win 600 you bet a hundred?
As you can tell I am not a gambler although I love Las Vegas.

Bisping takes the fight on a few weeks notice and destroys Rockhold. Hopefully Henderson does not retire. Bisping vs Henderson rematch should be Bisping's title defense.

That's what I'm saying. Yes, Jacara (spelling) is next in line, but with Hendo's popularity & Bisping's
ability to move the ppv needle, that's the fight to make.

I think it will either be a rematch, Wideman if he is healthy, or Ronaldo Souza who absolutely destroyed Vitor Belfort in Brazil.

I'm thinking rematch, if only because the amount of shit talking between Bisping and Rockhold is getting some decent press.

From Hendo's facebook. The photo appears to be a fan's photoshopped suggestion to the UFC rather than an announcement.

I will bet a bag of chips this is the fight that will get made.
This is the fight people want to see. And it will do great numbers. The fans love Hendo!!

I like Bisping's take on a Rockhold re match. Make him earn it. Go away, win two or three fights, and then we will talk.
Besides, I'm sick of immediate re matches.
Rockhold was such a poor loser!

Conceited Rockhold needs to play gatekeeper for a few fights. Give Hendo a chance at the belt before he rides off into the sunset. Hope he wins and gets to defend it a few times.

Yup, you got it all right.
I've said it again & again, the fans LOVE Hendo!
Two summers ago I went to the International Fight Week in Vegas. Edgar & BJ Penn fought. Edgar destroyed Penn, but that's not the point. The point is whenever they showed BJ on
the big screen & entering the ring, the fans went crazy. Seriously, more than any other fight or fighter that entire weekend. I was surprised how big of a reaction the guy got.
I'm sure Hendo would get the same reaction.

Would LOVE to see Bisping/Henderson in London. Let Bisping bring more fans to the sport, and let Henderson retire immediately as champ.

Who then fights for the belt? Bisping/Weidman? Bisping/Rockhold? Rockhold/Weidman?

DRJ-
Great gif!!

To retire champ, Henderson has to win. I don't know about that.
Bisping has a good point. He said a lot of the fights he lost were to fighters that were on something & had not been caught yet. Bisping being the champ is
great for the sport.
In London would be EPIC! I will be very surprised if that doesn't happen. After the Diaz/McGregor fight & the reaction to Cyborg, the UFC has if anything
realized the fans want to see certain fights regardless of weight or where the fighter is ranked in their weight class.
Come on, Lesnar coming back to fight Hunt?! That's crazy! I love each fighter's take. Lesnar knows if he can get Hunt down on the ground, fight is over. Hunt knows Brock doesn't like to be
hit. One clean shot & Brock is down.
I can't wait for International week. From Thursday to Saturday, nothing but great fights. I really wish I could go, but money is tight this year so I gotta watch
on tv.

Is anybody watching the Fedor fights on Fight Pass. My God, this is the most bizarre thing I've seen in professional sports. There's like 30 fights, they have people hanging from the ceiling singing songs, they have a live orchestra, showing random people in the audience just sitting texting on their phones, the commentators are extraordinarily horrible but quite entertaining...

Yeah,
I have it on. It started at 8am west coast time & now it is 12 noon & it keeps on chugging along.
I love the whole production of it all before the fighters enter. Camera angles & other stuff are well done.
My problem with a lot of the other promotions that Fight Pass shows is the production values are so poor,
and are unwatchable.
Entertaining fights that's for sure.

Home cooked refereeing and judging in the Fedor fight. He was done in the first round but the ref would not stop it. Yes, Fedor came back to a degree in the second and third and maybe did enough to win those rounds, but a lot of what he threw was blocked by Fabio.

That first round was a sterling example of what a 10 8 round is. Yet, only one judge scored it that way. Fabio was screwed in that fight, he should have at minimum had a draw. He would have had to KO fedor almost dead to win.

That was such a dumb fight! When it ended I didn't even stay or care for the decision to be announced.

Previous posts we were commenting on the amount of fights & how long this was going on for.
UFC is really no difference. Fight Pass prelims start as early as 3:30 or 4pm, and goes on until 10pm west coast time.
Although the FS1 fights seem a lot longer because of the same commercials running over & over again.
I hope Wonder Boy wins tomorrow, but won't be surprised if Rory takes it. A huge majority give it to Rory.

Apparently, as Fedor is the/a MMA Commissioner or something, he was able to appoint the ref and judges for his fight. Bizarre.

Well, the Thompson/MacDonald fight was underwhelming.

Wonderboy definitely deserves a title shot.

Cote got owned. Cerrone looked very impressive.

And Bosse/O'Connell was an epic brawl.

Jojo looked good. Ref should gave stopped the fight earlier.

Thompson and McD are both very technical fighters. Anybody that thought that was gonna look like the Bosse fight must not be an actual MMA fan. I am a big fan of both guys and really did not want to see them fight each other with Rory on the last fight of his contract. Thompson should have been fighting for the title instead of Woodley IMO. CAn't wait to see him take on Lawler or Woodley.
