Tebow's name will sell a lot more tix, but his play won't translate into
many wins.
If he can not prove to be a good QB down in Jax, then his career might soon be over.
I read today the Montreal CFL teams owns his rights up in Canada.
That might be his ultimate stop

Just heard an interview with him. He was humble about the record and pissed they've lost seven in a row. Re: NFL 2012 Thread
Very nice job. Not sure what they are doing right, I've been watching the Redskins games the last two weeks. Clearly they have figured something out to beat the teams their beating. Hope they make it past Green Bay and into the playoffs.NeverSurrender wrote:The Vikings defense was off the fucking chain today.

As great as it is to have a Steelers free playoff, that also means I'll have to listen to a bunch of fickle, uneducated Bengals fans talk about "back-to-back!" That's their new slogan apparently.

Back to back one and done wild card berths really isn't much to brag about, especially in a year where both Pitt and Bmore weren't all that great.Tymaster wrote:As great as it is to have a Steelers free playoff, that also means I'll have to listen to a bunch of fickle, uneducated Bengals fans talk about "back-to-back!" Re: NFL 2012 Thread
Yes, but the Bengals haven't had back-to-back playoff appearance since '81/'82 so the press was all over it and it was the proverbial "monkey off their back." They will be one and done considering they're going to be going on the road and with the 6th seed have ZERO chance of a home game even if they do win BUT they're bandwagon is "who deying" up and down every street in southern Ohio. The good side of all if is this assures inept Mike Brown will keep the even more inept Marvin Lewis around for another decade so the threat of a legitimate Bengals team isn't real. Did you watch the game yesterday??? Marvin Lewis coached one of the worst games I ever saw. However, Ben Roethlisberger gift wrapped the game for them. I think Ben is done as a big time NFL QB.bane wrote:Back to back one and done wild card berths really isn't much to brag about, especially in a year where both Pitt and Bmore weren't all that great.Tymaster wrote:As great as it is to have a Steelers free playoff, that also means I'll have to listen to a bunch of fickle, uneducated Bengals fans talk about "back-to-back!" I was at that game. They chased Schaub all day long and completely shut down the run. It was a perfect storm of Houston in full blown all ready clinched completely flat suck mode and Minny playing out of their minds.johnk5150 wrote:They would have beaten any team in the league yesterday.NeverSurrender wrote:The Vikings defense was off the fucking chain today.

Re: NFL 2012 Thread
Crazy to think that after losing the game yesterday & Redskins winning their game, that
Dallas still can win the division in week 17
Obviously the loss yesterday for Dallas means the week 17 game means win or go home. I read somewhere that Dallas can not make the playoffs with a loss at Washington.
Flex Game schedule has announced the match-up will be on NBC
Sunday night.
Going to be exciting!

I was at the Redskins game in Philly. Wasn't perfect, but a fun afternoon and yet another win with te big Division title game up next week. RG3 had another nice game with some gorgeous passes, playing like a drop back QB with his mobility limited.
And Philly was fun and their crowd were total pussycats. Their reputation as lowlife cretins is a total nostalgic fantasy in 2012.
Dallas next week. Anything can happen but I like the Skins' chances.

Philly lost a lot of the criminal element when the Eagles moved into the Linc. It's a good thing.Crazy Levi wrote: And Philly was fun and their crowd were total pussycats. Their reputation as lowlife cretins is a total nostalgic fantasy in 2012.

I went to a playoff game at the Vet in 1990 and even then it wasn't too bad, though they did theeaten to slash our tires. I told me dad "sit down, they mean it!," and he said "how do they know which car is ours?"WhiteHouseSubsAC wrote:Philly lost a lot of the criminal element when the Eagles moved into the Linc. Good point pop. Yesterday the worst heckling we got was when we upgraded to 50-yard line seats at the half. "Hey, nice new seats!!"
Err, burn?
Anyway it was fun, we'll make the trip next year hopefully. The general sentiment seemed to be people are just ready to move on from the Andy Reid era, and the jury is still out on Foles. I was pretty relieved when they game ended. Doesn't effect next week very much but bears and Vikings are both playing teams that need to win next week - and if they lose, Skins are at least guaranteed 6 seed if that happens thanks to win in Philly.

Their defense has been pretty good all season and got better as the season has gone on. I do believe the Texans took them lightly. They also has Chris Cook, the cb back. That was huge. A rookie had been playing in his place.
Ponder just needs no turnovers and they can beat anybody. Did you like Ponder's reverse Sanchez buttfumble?

I hate Benji Rapistberger and the Crybaby Steelers. But to say he is done when he was having a good season until he returned from his injury is jumping the gun, the team is toast but he isn't.

Who cares?
Wild-card teams headed for a beat down amidst a coaching controversy with a qb who leads the league in turnovers and can't hit 50 percent in completions don't interest me.

On a side note, the ROY race is down to two players: Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson. I respect what Wilson has done, he's definitely impressive and a worthy candidate. But I think voters will look at the fact that Wilson has a top ranked defense and running game on his side. Luck has neither, and he was brought in to a 2-14 team. That will not be lost on the voters.
