We got ha ha ha guy - huge broncos fan - who'll be sucking off Tebow and the Jets all year. And then we'll have We13 offering up his virgin hole to the Broncos.
If that team even thinks about moving than their is no God in Cleveland.
Part of the sale is that no owner can EVER relocate the Browns. That comes from the city of Cleveland, the NFL, and even Congress. The Browns can't go anywhere. Now, if they'd just put back-to-back winning seasons together and win a playoff game (neither has occurred since the Browns returned.)
I also want to add that the Browns are in Cleveland forever. They moved once and there will never be a majority of the owners that agree they leave Cleveland again.

Well that's good for the Browns fans then and speaking of owners that guy has got to sell his stake in the Steelers no way will the other owners allow somebody to have what he's got goin on right now.
So Goodell has said that football should "absolutely be in the olympics"?
Was he being serious?
If so, that's the most delusional thing I've heard in a long time.
I love NFL football, and it's a huge league etc. But there are only two countries in the world with American-style football leagues, no history of international competition, and apart from a few Samoans and some kickers, there's hardly any non-North American players.
I've always thought he was way off base with the London team idea, but this just reinforces how out of touch he is with the world-view of NFL football. The game can no doubt be grown significantly, but someone is putting the horses way, way before the cart.

I doubt it. Olympics go what, 17 days?
How many "rounds" could they get in, maybe 3?
With Rugby that has always been the problem too - could never fit a credible tournament in that period.*
With Football the problem is the more fundamental fact that they couldn't even fill three rounds with viable competition.
*Rugby is actually in for Rio, but 7s rugby which is half size teams for short games and the whole tournament is played over two days - and there's already an established world tour consisting of a couple of dozen teams.

It's the Steelers, they will allow it. The Rooneys are the only team allowed to own racetrack and gambling interests and an NFL team. This teams gets away with murder, but cry they are being picked on by Goodell and the NFL.

If there's one thing that's obvious about the 2012 NFL preseason it's that the Jets need both more drama and more attention. You know what will provide that? A training camp, that's what.
And we got one on Monday morning as Joe McKnight and D'Anton Lynn were involved in a little melee after a play in which McKnight caught a ball and, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, was shoved by Lynn on his way out of bounds. McKnight then threw the ball at Lynn and about 20 people got involved in the brawl, which was later broken up by Rex Ryan.
McKnight also apparently got in an "overhand right to start it all."
But it's not like this is indicative of the Jets having a bad locker room (other things are indicative of that). It's dudes who play football practicing the sport and, um, energy is high. This won't be the last training-camp fight we hear about and it's certainly not the first.
Making it somewhat interesting, though, is that it took place about 10 feet from a group of fans (hear them cheer below) and that Lynn's dad, Anthony Lynn, is the Jets running backs coach. Or, if you prefer, "Joe McKnight's boss."
And here's a little video of fight as it unfolded, following the initial scrum, via Seth Walder of the Daily News.
This morning ESPN reported the league is negotiating a deal with players like
Vilma to reduce his suspension to 8 games.
WTF!!!!
In return for the reduced suspension, Vilma must agree to drop his defamation lawsuit against the NFL.
This pisses me off. Just another example of someone who breaks the rules, make enough noise while crying the blues and is given a lighter penalty.
If the suspension is reduced to 8 games, I think it would do a lot of good if he is allowed to play the first 8 games and is suspended for the remaining 8 games.
FUCK THAT PUTO!
The NFL has offered to reduce New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma's year-long suspension to eight games as part of ongoing settlement talks involving the league, the NFL Players Association and legal representatives for the four players who were suspended for their alleged participation in the team's bounty program from 2009-2011, according to sources familiar with the discussions.
The league's offer was made late last week but it is conditional upon Vilma dropping a civil lawsuit charging commissioner Roger Goodell with defamation of character, sources said. Vilma has expressed his strong feelings about his tainted reputation.
The talks could also lead to reductions in the suspensions of the other three players -- Saints defensive end Will Smith (four games), Packers defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove (eight games), and Browns linebacker Scott Fujita (three games)

Really? That pisses you off?
Give me a fucking break. Giving this guy a year off of football for some shit that NFL players have been doing since the dawn of time is ridiculous. Vilma is a football player. One year penalty is ridiculously huge penalty for a guy like that. Each year these guys miss is a HUGE percentage of their career. I could take a year sabbatical from my job, and who gives a fuck, I can just keep doing it another 25 years. Football players' careers last like 5-10.
Save your righteous rage for Wall Street guys who destroy our economy and escape unpunished. It's not like he killed 5 guys and is doing community service. This whole bounty thing is ridiculously overblown, and the right guys (Peyton and Williams, who run the show and should know better) should bear the brunt of the punishment.

Half a season off is PLENTY for Vilma.
I agree. And I admire Vilma's balls in standing up to the league and challenging the manner in which this was unilateraly handled. By no means is he Curt Flood, but the way he has stood up for himself may open the floodgates in the NFL, in terms of how discipline is doled out.
This IS the guy's livelihood. He only has limited time to make the money that will support his family for the rest of their lives. The league (read: comissioner) can't just say, we're suspending you for 10-20% of your career.

The former Jets signal caller and current WFAN morning show co-host offered a simple solution early Monday morning: “Cut Tim Tebow.”
“I’m just telling you right now, I would (cut him), and I’ll tell you why I would,” Esiason said alongside “Boomer & Carton” radio partner Craig Carton. “It’s not in any way, shape or form — I think — benefiting this team.”
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Tebow wouldn’t bite when asked about Esiason’s comments after practice Monday.
“I’ve heard nothing but great things about Mr. Esiason,” he said. “I know he was a great player here and I wish him nothing but the best in his announcing. God bless him.”

The guy bascially called Tebow garbage and the only thing Tebow does is praise him as a player and wish him well.
What else is he gonna do? Tebow's "Aw shucks / go with Christ" act has been honed to the point where he's on autopilot. And it's not like he isn't used to people saying he sucks.
And he sucks, at least as a QB. Dude can't throw. But maybe the Jets can make something of him on special teams and goal line offense.

I don't think it's an act. I think he's the sincerest athlete in history. Kid doesn't have a mean bone in his body.

Wah. This guy makes more in one season than most people make in their lifetimes.
I don't begrudge him that, but puhlease. Limited amount of time to make money that will support him and his family for the rest of their lives. Shut the fuck up.
