WWE Fan In Big Trouble After Making Threatening Phone Calls


Apparently one WWE fan took the release of Mickie James a little too serious. According to an article in the Connecticut Post, 22 year-old Zavr Peygumbari is in big trouble after making a series of threatening phone calls to WWE's corporate headquarters in Stamford, CT. According to court documents, in one call he threatened to kill an employee and their family. Peygumbari was held this weekend on $250,000 bond which was eventually lowered to $5,000 after he agreed in a written statement to appear in court. Judge William Wenzel told Peygumbari he's no longer allowed to attend any WWE event, contact WWE employees, or go near its Stamford offices.

The threatening phone calls began on April 24th and continued until April 27th. Nineteen calls were made to WWE offices on April 24 with several more during the following days. Five of the calls were recorded on voicemail. Peygumbari was charged with four counts of fourth-degree threatening, one count of second-degree harassment and two counts of second-degree threatening. Peygumbari is due back in court on May 25.
