Jets fire Mike Tannenbaum but will keep Rex Ryan.
Browns fire Pat Shurmur and general manager Tom Heckert
Jags fire GM Gene Smith
Philly fires Reid.
Any surprises here?
Not really...though I guess I didn't think Tannenbaum would go.
sin wrote:Wow look at Levi, his new thing to do is bash the wildcard teams. Even tho two of them had the same record as his Redskins. And wait,
TWO of them did better! Care to guess who one of those was? one was Seattle but SUPRISE the other was the Colts.
I know he loves to bash P-13 anyway he can but this is getting stupid. I'm sure if someone took the time to dig back three years, they could find him complaining about when Seattle won the division with a 7-9 record and how they shouldn't be allowed to play at home when they have lesser wins then whoever .
.
Seattle - Division Winner - they win. At home. They always win at home. Even at 7-9.
Seattle - Wild-Card winner - they lose. On the road. They ALWAYS lose on the road in the playoffs.
Look, if you want to pretend that winning a wild card is as good as winning the division, good for you. If you think winning a Wild-Card is worth the full-on troll assault that we've seen from certain Colts nutswingers, hey, good for you again.
ould be a meltdown coming for Levi. Not that predictions mean anything but Gregg Rosenthal writes Seattle will beat Washington and the Colts will take out the Ravens.
sin wrote:Ya know what, I don't care. Enjoy your moment, I like the Redskins.
It should be a great game next week.
Gee, was that so hard?
And I'm not fucking trolling you (or Neversurrender for that matter) with this wild card shit, I'm trolling Gregg and Gregg only.
Have you EVER seen a motherfucker go into a full-on trollgasm like that over a fucking WILD CARD?!
Seriously. It's the most retarded explosion of trollery in the history of the Locker Room.
You and the Seahawks just got caught in the troll crossfire. My apologies.
And it will be a good game. I like our chances at home. The Seahawks sent us packing in our last two trips to the playoffs so some revenge is in order.
Date & Time .... Favorite ...... Line ... Underdog ........ Total
1/5 4:30 ET ... At Houston .... -4.5 ... Cincinnati ....... 43.5
1/5 8:00 ET ... At Green Bay ... -8 ... Minnesota ........ 46
1/6 1:00 ET ... At Baltimore ... -6.5 . Indianapolis ...... 46.5
1/6 4:30 ET ... Seattle ........... -2.5 ... At Washington .. 45.5
Washington opens as a home dog. I think this will go closer to even as people start placing bets. I like the Skins, especially getting spotted almost a FG.
Houston favored by 4.5 with the way they have been playing? Cincy played well down the stretch, and plays in a tougher division. Houston mailed it in for the last month & a half. I like Cincy getting 4.5.
Green Bay and Minn just played a few days ago, and will be meeting for the 3rd time in 18 weeks. I think GB will win, but I wouldn't pick them by 2 scores.
Baltimore over Indy by almost a TD. Baltimore is beaten up, and they never know what they'll get out of Flacco, but they've still got a decent defense, a good running game, and lots of playoff experience. Outside, at home versus a dome team loaded with rookies at the skill positions. I'll take Balt giving up the points. Look for Reed to have a good game. I could see this game getting ugly. I'll say the over/under for Luck's INTs will be 2.5. And I'd bet the over on that.
I'd kick a baby for the Browns to hire Lovie Smith!!!

Ugh. He seems so damn boring. I want someone with some fire and energy and is deadset on winning.

Something tells me Haslam has already had his guy all along...and it's not anyone in the league...

I like this Colts match up against Baltimore this Sunday. I feel we have a real good shot of winning it. We have two key people who are going to give us great insight on what Baltimore does and how to attack them. Coach Pagano spent three years in Baltimore, including last year as their D. Coordinator. And Bruce Arians is obviously familiar with their defense from having faced them twice a year when he was Pitt's offense coordinator. So I feel we will have a game plan in place that will attack them in the right places and give us an upper hand.

I still wouldn't be surprised if Rex Ryan doesn't join the list whenever the Jets hire a new GM he may not want Rex to be the coach.
To make it an even 10 we should have seen Rex Ryan, Jason Garrett, and Jim Schwartz let go too.
Without wiki or anything, I think 7 is the highest number of firings in one day.
