Gruden will want a shitload of money and control.

That's not really how the Bears roll, is it?
It won't be Gruden. Phil Emery put his stamp on that team yesterday at the press conference. Whoever they hire will answer to him. No one is getting carte blanche. Lovie had it easy here because Virginia McCaskey loved his act and the locker room was his. Those guys would run through a wall for him. Too bad they couldn't do the same thing on the field. Thanks for taking them to the Super Bowl, but not fighting to keep Thomas Jones over Cedric Benson and firing Rivera after losing the SB showed me what kind of coach you were. A pussy. And a glory hound.

Cleveland can have him. It'd be perfect since he already sounds like Cleveland.
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

Back from vacation.
Saw the game Sunday night while on my trip.
Horrible way to end the season.
Dallas had several chances to win the game and in the end, the team did not
have enough to outscore the Redskins.

The final INT by Romo was just awful. Reminded me of a teenage kid tossing the ball
around in his backyard
Just no excuse for that throw. Why not just throw the ball away or read the defense a lot better before making the pass?
Very frustrating season.
3 INT's in week 17 does not make Romo any better in my eyes.

Ray Lewis announces his retirement from the game after this season. What a great player, it's been a privilege to watch him play in the league for so long. Having said that, I hope his last career game is this Sunday in Baltimore. I already knew this was going to be an emotionally charged atmosphere, with the return of the Colts to Baltimore, and Chuck Pagano coming back to face his old team. But now with the likelihood of this being Lewis's final game in Baltimore, I can't even imagine what it's going to be like. It's gonna fucking nuts over there.

So we are making excuses in advance now?

If anything, maybe the "Ray Lewis Finale" effect will cancel out the "CHUCKSTRONG!!!!!" effect, but I don't think it's gonna be the difference in the game.

That's the kind of expert analysis I expect from Cowboys fans. Before this, I hadn't stopped to think that the Cowboys did not outscore the Redskins. Thanks for bringing this to light.

Is any of this a fucking surprise to you? I -and many others - TOLD you the Cowboys suck. This isn't news. Romo sucks and even most Cowboys fans accept this now.

Honestly, I thought this was the year Romo would become a top-tier QB. I've seen him play with my own eyes and he can be impressive. But he's well into his 30s now, and he's never gonna get over the hump. The Cowboys are done until they move on from him.

Try to remember that when they are in the same situation next year.

The Cowboys Suck.

*bonus comment:

I'm also impressed that 3 INTs in week 17 did not elevate your opinion of Romo. Other, lesser football fans can be convinced that INTs are a good thing and worthy of accolades like the Pro Bowl.

1-Romo is not "well into his 30's"> He's only 32 years of age.

For as bad as Romo played, Dallas still had a chance to tie or take the lead late in the game. The way Dallas scored the TD and 2 pt conversion, it was not a stretch to think the team could not drive down the field 1 more time.
Be honest, you were terrified of losing the game at the end to a team that was
a mash unit on offense and defense.

Romo is a fucking football player. 32 (33 next season) qualifies as "well into his 30s." You really think he's gonna improve at this point? He's past his prime.

And it's the fucking NFL. Teams almost always have a chance to tie or take the lead late in a game. I wasn't terrified of shit. The Redskins were in control virtually the entire game, and I thought for sure the Skins D would take care of business at the end, just like they did last time.

And stow the "injury excuse" bullshit. The Redskins D is a "Mash unit" as well if you want to play that card. We have plenty of starters out for the fucking season - didn't stop them from holding the vaunted Cowboys offense to 18 points.. And your receivers are brittle? Tough shit. Get a better conditioning coach.

Again, I told you the Cowboys suck. I was right.

Enjoy watching the playoffs next week.

What in the hell possessed him to sign with the chiefs? The draft pick? Not having to worry about getting passed over by another team? It just doesn't seem like even close to an ideal fit for him.

What situation is better than the Chiefs? They have some good talent on O & D and the #1 pick. What does Arizona have besides Fitz?

AZ has Kolb which he already knows, and I think they have a better defense as well. The NFC West is a better division right now, but I wouldn't want to face Denver or a revitalized Chargers every year either.

I mean come on the Lions could have beat the Chiefs this year.

The Chiefs are sitting pretty in a horrible division - Yeah you got the Broncos, but the Raiders and Chargers are a mess.

In Arizona, he's looking at St Louis, San Fran, and Seattle.

And he's got a number 1 draft pick, nice place to start.

Plus the media there is nowhere near as caustic as the Philadelphia media. He'll be a hero there, at least until he has to manage a 2 minute drill.

Kolb fucking sucks. That trade was a fleecing - one thing Andy Reid was ALWAYS good at. He fucked us hard on that McNabb trade.

But I saw some Kolb this year, and was not impressed. They need big QB help in Arizona.

Hiding, no. On vacation, yes. The Texans blew it, losing twice to vastly inferior teams. Kubiak got way too conservative and Schaub played like crap. They're probably done this year. It's pretty much a drag, but, we'll see what happens.

Speaking of invisibility, what happened to Gregg this week?

His trolling is at an all time low for this season.

I guess he's laying low as 1) he knows the Colts magical turnover tour is coming to a close, and 2) the rookie of the year thing ain't gonna pan out his way either.

Well, it's been a fun run for all of us.
