Man that was brutal. Doesn't help how many of our regulars are out with injuries. Just shows our squad doesn't have much depth though. A lot of young guys coming through but they have to be brought in steadily.

DP is hurt forever, dude. I swear this is not bullshit. There are goalies in the SPHL who move back and forth faster than he does from side to side. The guy looks drunk on his skates. His heart is in it, but his body is done. He is a serious liability.

Flyers aren't so great either as far as starters being out with injuries.

You've got way more depth.

But yeah you've got your fair share of injuries as well.

Paging Anne_Thrax...

Shouldn't you be a Jets fan now??

I play on a hockey team with Evander Kane's best friend (guy who took the infamous picture of Kane holding up stacks of cash), and apparently Evander misses Atlanta and wants to get the hell out of Winnipeg fast.

That's my insider information of the month

No doubt. I was at the game on Friday and it was painful to see how slow he moved to the far post. Especially on the Chara goal. I was talking to some Isles fans and they were saying the team is giving him a few starts for a buyout.

Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Prust, Moen, White, Armstrong - I'm lovin' the Habs "bottom 6" forwards. Can it be that we're actually hard to play against?!

Price looks like a wall so far, and Markov is the Markov of old. Pity Pacioretty has been lost 3-4 weeks with his appendix being removed, and PK seems to think he's worth Drew Doughty money.

There was rumours about the Flyers taking him. They would be mad to take that egomaniacally douchebag.

The Habs would likely match any offer, but if any team would be so bold as to sign Subban to a ridiculous offer sheet it would be Paul Holgrem's Flyers. The max now is 7 years, but it would really fuck the Habs if they would offer him the full 7 years at $40 million or so.

The fact that the Habs have started well, and Markov and Diaz have been stellar, put pressure on him to sign.

It's about time. He got a fair deal. He's only played parts of two seasons in the NHL and didn't deserve a big money contract yet. He got Del Zotto money, and he'll cash in next contract, like Price and Pacioretty.

The Habs will probably "Gomez" Tomas Kaberle next, thank god!

Not really a race thing as there are a lot more black people in Winnipeg than where him and I are from Vancouver. It's more that he hates the city with a passion for having nothing going for it. I've been to Winnipeg, and the place is a fucking dump. One of my best buddies lives there because the provincial government pays certain professionals to stay because it's hard to keep people from bolting to other places. There's really just nothing to do there. It's ridiculously cold and the town has a really miserable vibe outside of the Jets. I spent 2 days there and my skin was crawling.

But seriously, Kane lives the life. Our mutual friend went to Vegas with him a bunch of times during the lockout, and they just live it up. Evander pays for absolutely everything (as he should). Funny/depressing side note that I think I may have mentioned earlier. All that money Kane is holding up, well he won that in Vegas by playing Baccarat. He won 300 grand. Fuck my life.

Agreed on "the 'Peg". I've had business interests there in the past, and other than sports, there's not much going on. I've never seen a downtown core that was so dumpy and seedy as the area around the MTS Centre and adjacent shopping mall. A lot of glue huffing natives make it reminiscent of a US slum.

Kane better watch himself. If he won 300K, he can lose big too. He's not making THAT much money yet, and many an athlete has wound up broke from gambling. Having said that, I'd take him on my team - though by the sounds of it, playing in Montreal might not be good for him in terms of behavior.

Pretty much everything about our team is terrible atm.

The only player who has been solid has been Mueller. Huberdeau has some serious talent but it's not really coming through considering how awful we are playing.
