Another move to reach the cap floor with money Wang will never have to pay out. Thomas and DiPietro now make up 25 percent of the team's cap.

It would've been smart if they got a guy for 5 million who was actually going to help the team.pieceofme wrote:Pretty smart move from both sides imo.NeverSurrender wrote:Another move to reach the cap floor with money Wang will never have to pay out. I wish The Fyers had the option to replace Bryz with an orange road marker during shootouts. Much better chance of the save. Guy generally looks good during the game but can't face shooters one on one for shit.

Kovy smoked him in that penalty shot this season. I can't remember the last time we won a shootout.John Simon Ritchie wrote:I wish The Fyers had the option to replace Bryz with an orange road marker during shootouts. Much better chance of the save. Guy generally looks good during the game but can't face shooters one on one for shit.

Weird seeing Philly playing defensively. But with Simmonds and Hartnell out it's not too surprising.

Ehh..Bourque had it coming.Orr just clocked him before he could get his gloves off lol.Pacioretty grabbed Grabovsky from behind and was pretty much suffocating him..pussy move. There's no proof he got bit but if he did it probably just a reflex when you're getting choked out.Gotta give props to Gorges though, too bad nobody else on that team has that kind of heart.Funniest thing is after the game the Habs complained about everything other than the fact that the Leafs just showed the rest of the league the perfect blueprint for destroying them.
Thanks for JVR btw

Pretty much the epitome of "bitch move"...regardless of what team you root for.
Edited to add: Don't get me wrong, I thought that shit was hilarious though.

Orr is a douche,......Bourque had his gloves on and his arms down. I am a fan of neither team by the way. It was cheap.

Plekanic pulled his stick out of his hands down 6-0. What do Habs fans think is going to happen? Then Borque skates up to him.feds wrote:Orr is a douche,......Bourque had his gloves on and his arms down. I am a fan of neither team by the way. It was cheap.

No biggie. I just wanted more fireworks on the ice. Come on...just one cheap boarding incident?

I can't believe the Flyers are doing poorly this year, I had them pegged at top 3 in the East for sure, still plenty of games left though...we'll trade ya Horcoff, Smyth and Khabi-boozin' for Couturier?

Watched the Habs/Panthers game on the tube tonight and it's an embarassment how few people were there, particularly in the seats within camera range. Imagine if vacationing Montreal fans hadn't made up a good portion of the crowd.
Get'em the fuck out of there! There are at least a half dozen markets more deserving of a team than South Florida.

Actually this is the reason why it appears so empty:WOLF wrote:Watched the Habs/Panthers game on the tube tonight and it's an embarassment how few people were there, particularly in the seats within camera range. Imagine if vacationing Montreal fans hadn't made up a good portion of the crowd.

"It only looks empty on tv because of something called Club Red. It's 3 sections that people pay upwards of $30,000 a season to sit in this "elegant dining experience" and nobody wants to sit there because tickets are cheaper per game on stubhub. It flopped epicly."
The game against the Capitals had 16000 people in the building. Opening night against Hurricanes was sold out.
The first game I went to was against Boston a couple of years ago and it was 90% full.
Are they the most popular and profitable team in the NHL Absolutely not. But it isn't as bad as it appears on television.
Phoenix have been getting less than 10,000 fans quite often this season. The Panthers haven't. Of course considering how much money they have pumped into this team to save them, they won't be relocated.
Also Florida has probably the most fickle fans in North America. And I mean that for the whole state. Team starts doing well and winning the fans come out. You could say this any State or Province but it is especially true in Florida.
You're welcome.

Re: The official NHL thread
Club Red must be in every section then cause that building was a ghost town last night, and for the Canadiens at that!Don't Quebecers outnumber actual Floridians down there this time of year?

Re: The official NHL thread
People always use "we have 16,000 fans at the game" as a defence mechanism. Truth is, when tickets are 7 bucks and you get a free jersey(the discontinued 3rd jersey),you damn well better have 16,000 butts in the seats.
These are tickets that would go for $100 easily in Quebec City, Hamilton, Markham or Seattle.
The NHLPA really should've fought for relocation of a few teams during the lockout. Teams generating more pie = more pie for the NHLPA.
