Exactly - those seats would go for $350-400/pair in Montreal; more in Toronto. These are tickets that would go for $100 easily in Quebec City, Hamilton, Markham or Seattle.
The NHLPA really should've fought for relocation of a few teams during the lockout. Teams generating more pie = more pie for the NHLPA.
Also, if I'm an advertiser, thinking of advertising on the ice, boards, scoreboard, etc. - and I tune into the game and see all those empty seats, paid for or not - I'm not putting my advertising dollars into there.
Phoenix is a priority before Florida, but one team in the state is probably enough.
