Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
see.....that would NEVER work.Captain Morgan wrote:How the Undertaker's road to Wrestlemania should happen:
Undertaker returns on 2/21/11 and states that he's after the group of men that helped bury him months ago; this confrontation will take place on Smackdown that week.
When Undertaker arrives at Smackdown, Wade Barrett confronts him and states that he was ordered to take out Taker in the Buried Alive match. Undertaker questions him, when all of a sudden Triple H and Stephanie McMahon appear, stating that they were behind the Nexus/Corre all along, to help seize control of the company from Vince. What better way to establish their dominance than by taking out the top star of the company in his final year(s). Triple H says that he wants to bury the Undertaker once and for all in a Career vs. Career match that would also put Undertaker's streak on the line as well. Triple H states that the special referee for the match would be none other than Shawn Michaels - the man Taker ended last year.
In the upcoming weeks there are confrontations but no actual fighting, perhaps due to a clause saying that if Taker puts his hands on Triple H, Taker is fired. Triple H and Stephanie resume control of Smackdown while Teddy Long is out.
In the main event of Wrestlemania, the match is announced as a no DQ match, much like the match at WM17. Triple H seems to get the advantage early on in the match, even resorting to the sledgehammer. After a few close calls, the Undertaker stays in the match. Wade Barrett and the Corre come out and start wearing down on the Undertaker. All of a sudden, the Rock (the guest host of WM) comes down and starts taking out the Corre. Kane comes out of nowhere to help out his brother in a face-turn. Seeking revenge for Triple H's actions of the past few weeks, HBK nails him with a Sweet Chin Music, setting Undertaker up for a Tombstone and the win.
Afterwards, the Undertaker celebrates his 19-0 streak while Triple H is "officially fired" by a returning Teddy Long. The following Smackdown sees a confrontation between Undertaker and Wade Barrett, setting up a match at Extreme Rules - perhaps even a match with Undertaker/Kane/Big Show vs. The Corre.
As you can see - I'm bored...
it flows and makes sense.

What a massive waste of money.
But not a shock, based on how fucking dumb TNA is.
He's not going to 'work', not going to actually put anyone over and certainly not going to put any more asses in the seats that wouldn't have been suckered into being there already.

That. Was. Awesome.
In less than 20 minutes the entire WWE fanbase turned against Cena because The Rock said so.
So is he really back for real, for good? He sure made it sound like that.
Fuck... I haven't had a mark-out moment in years. Good stuff.

Wow.... that moment when the Rock came out to one of the greatest pops ever, and gave one of the greatest promos ever... reminded why I became a wrestling fan about 12 years ago. It also reminded me why I've mostly stopped watching for the past few years... today's product, and most of today's talent, is crap. In just a few minutes of being back, the Rock made the entire WWE roster look like a joke. No one in the WWE right now could do what the rock just did... not even close.

I guess showing that chest in the latest 2-21-11 video means it's not Lita or Trish Stratus making a return.

Nothing says "night out at the wrestling matches" like being caught in rush hour traffic before and after the event.

After The Rock crapped on Cena's gimmick and flushed it down the toilet yesterday on RAW, how can Cena continue as a face with any amount of self respect left? He made him look as a joke and the only way to go is a heel turn.

in a moment of shock and awe I totally agree with him
his promo was good not his best but fucking phenominal in this day and age in the WWE.
This is definately the shot in the arm the WWE needs to regain some momentum and some excitement back in their lack luster programming.
Its amazing that in the last 7 years no one has been elevated to the status of the rock HHH or HBK with the exception being CENA who really can't hold a candle to those guys.
7 long years with out The Rock Stone Cold or Mick Foley and no one has stepped up to carry the torch
Welcome back Rock let the excitement begin again

The problem I think is that they're pushing people too fast. Yes, there needs to be new main eventers as some of the older ones are retiring, but to rush someone into a main event feud without any sort of buildup or crowd reaction is pointless.TRUTHABOUTCONCERTS wrote:poizond13 wrote:Wow.... that moment when the Rock came out to one of the greatest pops ever, and gave one of the greatest promos ever... reminded why I became a wrestling fan about 12 years ago. I agree fully however you have almost no main eventers left on RAW withthe exception of Cena and Orton and I'm not that convinced of Orton as a main eventerCaptain Morgan wrote: The problem I think is that they're pushing people too fast. I really don't buy Miz as champion and Alex Riley serves no purpose other than being the white Virgil
They are pushing the wrong people as well Shamus people hate that guy and not in a good way in an Xpac kinda heat way.
Vickie Guerro most anntoing bitch ever and not entertaining in the least excuse me
I can't get past Dolph Ziggler last gimmick as Mikey from the Spirit Squad reminds me too much of the Mean Street Posse
CM Punk I can't stand i don't see the appeal
Daniel Bryan why bother he has the personality of shreded wheat
the whole RAW roster is just bland right now no superstars on the horizon in my opinion
usually the most entertaining thing is Santino and Koslov and you know they aren't getting a push

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread
I think a huge problem is having two shows when there's about one show worth. Yeah, the brand split ending would shadow a lot of newer guys, but it pushes them harder. The WWE got along for years without two brands.TRUTHABOUTCONCERTS wrote: I agree fully however you have almost no main eventers left on RAW withthe exception of Cena and Orton and I'm not that convinced of Orton as a main eventer

I think Orton gets a great crowd response and seems to be more favorable than Cena these days. Cena has run stale.
The Miz is a great talker, something that a lot of guys lack, so they should continue to build on him. Alex Riley, however, does no good for him.
Same goes for CM Punk. He's a great talker and I think he's a great wrestler. He doesn't need the Nexus angle to really develop his character. I could buy him as a main eventer.
Dolph and Bryan are great wrestlers without much personality. To me, they're doomed to stay in the midcard.
Sheamus - meh. He's a monster, and there's always one.
Personally I see John Morrison as a main eventer. They need to tweak his promo skills and keep building his feuds. His matches with Sheamus were great, and the match with Miz was awesome. Not to mention he was one of the few bright spots in the Royal Rumble this year.

so many great things about Rock last night. He felt he had to ensure the fans he was back for them and not a Hollywood hype machine. To make people from going to the anti Rock sellout chants.
Rock back means one thing, his build up for Wreslemania 28 in Miami, Rock vs Undertaker
funny how he did make Cena look like a chump in seconds after years of WWE hype

Undertaker will have to take on someone else. If Wade Barrett continues to build momentum, I could see him in a match with Taker next year.

Vince chose Mania in Miami next year knowing Rock would be interested. He could come back fulltime in early 2012
belt vacant, Streak vs Rock in Miami..thats what Vince will give us.
Does Rock win, does the streak end, or does Taker get a win in his last Mania match..truly the fans wont know, best Mania moment maybe ever
Best part of Rock last night when he entered the ring, first 4 minutes of him just walking around the ring, in his mind he was thinking I really left in my prime for Hollywood. Yea he's back maybe not every week, but he will always be doing stuff now
