The name Reggie Bush may not strike fear in Defensive coaches hearts, but it is enough to make them think twice about daring the Lions to throw the ball.
I'm not going to go all mark my words on this, but the move (along with the signing of Quin and presumably a Corner in the first or 2nd round of the draft should put them in the playoff picture.

Agree on that point during the Saints superbowl year he was finally looking like a good back, Brees took advantage of what the defense was giving him by being able to make a quick pass to bush.
One other thing about that year when they were in the Super Bowl they beat some sorry ass team who was it now?

Speaking of the Broncos, when is the last time a team, if ever, won a Super Bowl with 3 white starting wide receivers?

There may not be another "named" RB in free agency, but that doesn't mean he's the best option out there. Shit, there might be a 3rd to 5th round pick in this year's draft that will be a better player.sin wrote:Is there another RB in free agency or in the draft that is close to guarantied to be better? Reggie is all-hype. He was great in college, but the NFL is another story.
To date he's had one 1,000 yard season running the ball and has
averaged only 4.3 yards per carry
As a pass receiver he averages about 5 catches per game and about
7.3 yards per catch

Although, I've heard they will try to re-sign Welker and draft Tavon Austin. That would be exciting.

I get that, Alfred Morris was a 6th round pick last year. But the Lions have not exactly had any luck with drafting RB's recently. He is a safe choice and it's a gamble, I get that. He may end up a big bust, but I don't see it as anymore of a risk then signing Alex Smith.

Wow, so Matt Cassell coming in to rescue the Vikes?
You have to think Ponder is on thin ice. I'd consider Matt an upgrade even though he blows.

Seattle sure is putting a lot of faith in Harvin to let go of Leon Washington. The man is one of the best returners in the league. Props to the Patriots for getting him.Facedown wrote:Patriots sign Leon Washington.

I'm curious how our resident Vikings fan feels about Matt Cassel vs Ponder.

I guess you just hope Cassel can come in and be a poor man's Alex Smith or something. Eagerly awaiting neversurrender's take on this.

MIAMI (AP)
NFL free agent Donte Stallworth was hospitalized Saturday with serious burns after the hot air balloon carrying him and two other people crashed into power lines above South Florida, his agent said.
The 10-year NFL veteran won't suffer any permanent damage from the accident in Homestead, said Drew Rosenhaus, Stallworth's agent.
''He's going to be OK. He has some burns, but he's going to be fine,'' Rosenhaus said. ''He will be able to continue his NFL career. The injuries are not to the extent they will jeopardize his career.''

And apparently He's intersted in joining Miami, I'd love to have him teamed up with wake and that would at least takes some of the sting away from overpaying for ellerbe and wheeler, I do like the idea of the D getting younger but they overrpaid for those guys and now they need to sign a veteran RB like Bradshaw or pray theres one in the draft cuz i'm not sold on Miller at all, not for the go to guy anyway.Crazy Levi wrote:Due to the snafu, Elvis is a free agent.

Wait, what?? You're a Dolphins fan again? You completely ignored the team last year and jumped ship to the Redskins. I'm guessing you'll be a fan of the Dolphins until about week 5 this year, when you'll realize they suck again and abandon them for the latest flavor of the month. P13 would shoot his load as if he were watching a poison video but my guess will be Urlacher either retires or signs with a team that has achance to win NOW, and that's not the colts. SF, SEA, NE, DEN, ATL would be the favorites. P13 dosent seem to understand the concept of "rebuilding" which is what Indy is obvIously doing, They have no running game and their best player is ancient.johnk5150 wrote:Colts can have Urlacher
