Though I think the road may be harder this year, if it goes through Pittsburgh, Chicago, or LA.

Has anyone seen this yet? It's a condensed video of a Leafs fan gathering for game 7 vs the Bruins, and shows their joy as they take 3-1 and 4-1 leads, and their horror as the Leafs unravel.
I particularly enjoyed the guy moaning "how.... how.... how", at the end.

Those Senators played a hell of a game against those refs last night.
Seriously, the NHL is moving dangerously close to NBA style officiating. if they're not already there.

So glad they won. And less than 30 seconds to go when they scored the goal to tie the game! I bet the place was rocking.

PiceOfMe, I'm disgusted by the reffing in the playoffs.
I grew up in central NY where basketball is king and loved the NBA. I no longer watch it because of the refs. If I didn't love the Islanders as much as i do, no way i would support this garbage.

Always happy when the Rags and Shittsburgh lose. Especially the way the Pens did.

Me too. There seems to be no consistency, and you can blatantly tell which teams they favour.NeverSurrender wrote:PieceOfMe, I'm disgusted by the reffing in the playoffs.

God...I hope The Red Wings defeat Chicago just to hear that bandwagon jumper, Anne_Thrax cry about it.

Hmmm. No team has ever come back from an 0-2 deficit two series in a row.
Go B's.

Re: The official NHL thread
The Blackhawks are finding out the hard way they're going to have to play these games.
Local radio already declaring the Hawks dead. My God is this town lousy with doom and gloom. Is everyone that negative in other towns?
"It's over!"
"Rebuild!"
"Trade Toews and Kane!"
I heard that in a span of 6 minutes this morning.

This is from a few years ago, when the Habs were trailing the Caps 3-1 in their opening round series. Ironically the Habs came back to win and made it all the way to the semis that year:johnk5150 wrote:The Blackhawks are finding out the hard way they're going to have to play these games.

If that was what really got under your skin, you would be mad as hell at the the real darlings of the NHL the Red Wings. The way you cry like a bitch about the refs, I don't know why you even bother watching professional sports.NeverSurrender wrote:Alice Manson, come tell us some more about how the refs don't favor the Pens.

Price is a stooge while Moj seems like some random booze hound that was given the mic. Good entertainment nonetheless.
And yes, Vancouver radio is filled with doom and gloom. And yes, I'm one of the "we need to trade the whole team!" types.

Lmao ass off at the early whistle in the Sharks - Kings game followed by 3 makeup calls.
These refs are making refs in the other pro sports look impressive in comparison.
