WTF!
Since when does a guy with only 2 years of success command
that much money?
Reports are Buerhle is asking for about 4 yrs/$60 million.
Between the two, I think the safe play is signing Buerhle.

I know right.
Buerlhe is the prize pitcher in FA, not Wilson.
Buehrle could pitch as long as Jamie Moyer the way he throws.
The Giants have acquired outfielder Angel Pagan and a player to be named later or cash from the New York Mets in exchange for right-handed pitcher Ramon Ramirez and outfielder Andres Torres

Both started in the Jays' system as infielders, interestingly.
Not familiar with Santos, but he has to be better than the Jon Rauch-Frank Francisco combo for most of the year (now my other team has both of those guys #notsoamazins).
Ramon Ramirez sounds solid, though!

Oh man, I know tinoocan is an angels fan right? thats gonna be nice for a couple years, but You have to worry about his alleged real age and his elbow that can go at any minute, I know the guy is great but Fielders fat ass being younger wouldn't be so bad for a long deal like that unless he eats himself out of the game., Risky but He's a proven stud.

If the reports are true, Moreno must be printing up his own currency down there in Anaheim.
The Pujols deal is out of this world. A lot of money tied up to 1 player.

That's $63,000 a day for Pujols. Cost of living is alot more there but still who could blame him. It's just baseball. We'll get somebody younger. David Freeze is the superstar here anyway.

As an Astro fan, I'd like to say fuck you very much Mr Pujols. I'm not at all thrilled with my team's move to the AL West, but I consoled myself by thinking , "At least I won't have to watch Pujols destroy Astro pitching anymore." Fuck.

Pujols contract runs until he's 41 (assuming his stated age is correct. You can never really tell with Dominican dudes). What do you think? How many 41 year old players can still perform at a high level?

He better get some delicious roids if he wants to earn that money going forward.
It's getting ugly here. Former fans are posting online pictures of Albert looking up to the sky with dollar signs over his eyes. They've altered his uniform and made the number 5 a $ and they're giving away his Cardinal jersey for FREE in MLB outlets--and NOBODY is taking one.

I thought those fans were the best. I thought those fans were the kindest of them all.
I thought Joe Buck and his followers would wish Albert well and thank him for the 2 WS titles.
Just goes to show that is all a bunch of b.s.
These "classy" fans in the midwest are hypocrites.

St Louis does have the best fans in baseball. They're upset, but they'll get over it.
