Honestly, I probably would've thought the same as Levi. I'm not a gamblin' man either.

I think the Colts will win, sadly.

And I think the Eagles will win, sadly.

The good news is I don't bet on sports, and generally suck at picking games, so I'm probably wrong.
You were 3 for 3 on this one all right..
This is why I don't bet on sports.

Those games could have gone either way really...great weekend of football. The only one I didn't care about or at least watch parts of was the only blowout.

No way Chicago covers 10.5 or 11.
I think I like the Steelers, but Flacco impressed me last week. Is Palomalo playing? Then Pittsburgh.
I think the Jets need to shut the fuck up a giving NE more locker room fodder.
I know who Fox wants to win that GB/ATL game, but I'm not betting agains Matty Ice at home.

I think Chicago will win. They are better, and they are rested.
I'd prefer to see Pitt win but I think Balt's defense is playing great now and Pitt's offensive line has issues. Flacco just needs to take care of the ball and they should win.
NE should win that game, barring something freakish. Belichick's record off a bye week is pretty good and they are getting back several players up front on defense who were out recently.
Green Bay is hot right now and I think the week off may actually hurt Atlanta. This game has the potential to be the most fun one of the weekend with Ryan and Rodgers airing it out.

I'm not sold that the Pats are a definite win over the Jets, but I would REALLY love to see Brady and Belichick pick apart Cromartie and Ryan. How do they not realize that Brady and Belichick thrive on shit like that? The Jets are a dumb, immature team and it's been showing all season.

I heard someone on the radio say that they were doing that to take the media glare off of Sanchez. They're not that smart.

Let's see if I can rebound from my pathetic first round...

I'll go with-
Baltimore
Green Bay
Seattle (come on, Chicago is terrible, the Redskins beat them!)
And my upset special - J-E-T-S

I'll agree the Jets are young and immature...they might just be too stupid to realize the Patriots should kick their ass.

I did pretty well last weekend, so here goes:

- Baltimore to upset the Steel Curtain. As much as I fear the Steeler D, the Ravens can play D too and if they're not ready to take the next step on offence now, they'll never be.

- Atlanta. Love the Pack, but they're not that good a road team (last week not withstanding) and the Falcons have the weapons to go all the way in the NFC this year.

- Chicago (to win and cover). Cutler keeps surprising people, and while I don't think the Bears will score a ton, I could see them holding the Hawks to 10 points or less. No 12th man for the Hawks this week.

- New England. It won't be 45-3, but I still think the Pats are an arms length or more better than the Jets.

You got that right. Indeed, I could care less about what happens in the rest of the playoffs this year.

ESPN says the Denver Broncos have hired ex-Carolina Panthers coach John Fox as their new head coach. :?

Really? Fox is the best they could do? Are the winters that bad in Colorado or what?

That sound you hear is TawnyVonJagger's head exploding.

Tied 21-all near the end of the 3rd in Pittsburgh. That first half was sloppy as hell but this is shaping up to be a good one.

Ravens got hosed by the refs. It's too bad horrible officiating can be allowed to ruin great games like this. However, the Ravens also have themselves to blame for those horrible, inexcusable drops.

Steelers made the plays in the second half; Ravens didn't - it's as simple as that. In a big playoff game, with a strong opponent within reach, you can't turn over the ball, you can't drop catchable passes, and you need to keep making the plays on D. Refs had nothing to do with it. The Steelers won the game on D and in the red zone. The Ravens lost it with their disappearing act in the 2nd half.

The refs obviously mistook the Ravens uniforms for Colts...

Penalties:
Ravens - 6 for 74 yards
Steelers - 9 for 93 yards

Wow, those refs sure favored Pittsburgh by only penalizing them 19 more yards than Baltimore. Guess you are used to seeing the team you root for have a huge edge in penalty yards. A Polian/Colts officiating crew would have seen the score getting close and whacked the other team for another 60-70 yards in penalties.

I had no rooting interest in this game. I couldn't have cared less who won. But it was clear there were quite a few missed calls and no-calls at the end of the game that benefitted Pittsburgh. If you didn't see that, you're either blind, or know nothing about football. I already know the latter is true.

However, I wouldn't go as far saying Pittsburgh cheated. Not like they were caught with videos of the opponent's signals and walk throughs or anything like that.

You can be certain that Pittsburgh's GM didn't pull a Polian and try to corner the refs before the game. The idea in football is that the refs aren't supposed to be flag-happy and need to let the little stuff go and only call the egregious penalties. Which you would know if you weren't used to watching flags drop every time someone gets near one of "your" team's receivers.

Green Bay vs Atlanta turned out as expected. The Packers are hot, Rodgers is playing out of his mind, and Atlanta looked out of sync all night. The bye week hurt them.
