I can't see the Blackhawks losing Game 7 at home.
This year's Kings are apparently last year's Red Wings.

I don't have a lot of hope that the Kings will pull it off, but they already made me feel stupid the last two series, so I won't count them totally out until it's over.Lardbucket wrote:I can't see the Blackhawks losing Game 7 at home.

It would be fuckin crazy if they pulled it off though, playing three 7- game series to advance to the final? WOW

Counting the LA series, the Hawks are 16-3 in games 4-7 dating back to the 2013 playoffs. Plus, they are 8-1 at home in the playoffs this year.
Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to see the Kings win game 7, but I doubt the magic continues. Please make me wrong, L.A.!!!

Re: The official NHL thread
Kings have played real well in CHI this series....game 1, they easily could have tied that in the 3rd and then who knows how that turns out.....game 2, they put an ass beating on CHI in the 3rd period.....and game 5 went to double OT. So, it's not like CHI has had their way with them at home. Game 6 was the worst LA has played all series and they only lost by a goal.Lardbucket wrote:Counting the LA series, the Hawks are 16-3 in games 4-7 dating back to the 2013 playoffs. With that said, I think CHI wins tomorrow. I never thought LA could win this series to begin with....I was definitely surprised to see them go up 3-1. I'm just happy we beat the Ducks, anything after that is just gravy.

Re: The official NHL thread
Going back to 2013, LA is 3-0 in game 7s, all on the ROAD...and like 8-1 in elimination games. Not to mention guys like Carter, Richards and Williams are like 6-0 in game 7s. Pretty interesting.....Lardbucket wrote:Counting the LA series, the Hawks are 16-3 in games 4-7 dating back to the 2013 playoffs. Plus, they are 8-1 at home in the playoffs this year.

Good stats. I was aware that the Kings were good in clutch games, but I didn't realize they were that good.EatTheGlass wrote:Going back to 2013, LA is 3-0 in game 7s, all on the ROAD...and like 8-1 in elimination games. This is going to be a really interesting game. If the Kings get an early lead, all bets are off. My head picks Chicago, my heart picks LA.

I got turned off to the Hawks by the bandwagon fanbase and the circus their game experience has become. Plus, I loved LA and the Staples Center when I went there this April, so I'm rooting for the Kings in this series. Between the Blackhawks and Rangers, I won't even watch the Final if the Kings aren't there.pieceofme wrote:?Lardbucket wrote:

Out of the Kings and Blackhawks, who has the better goal tender and overall defense?

I'd say Quick is the better goalie and the Blackhawks have a better defense.UtahRatt wrote:Out of the Kings and Blackhawks, who has the better goal tender and overall defense?

The Kings defense was #1 overall during the regular season, Hawks were #12.UtahRatt wrote:Out of the Kings and Blackhawks, who has the better goal tender and overall defense?
During the playoffs, they are almost even.....but the Kings started the playoffs allowing like 13 goals in the first two games against SJ. Take that away and it would be a different story.
The Hawks offense is better no doubt, but they also play an up tempo system where the Kings are more of a defensive style.

Batman just moved. Good Games Kings. What a series that was.
I don't think the Rangers could beat either team but would match up better against the Kings.

With home ice advantage in the finals, there's no way they'll play Game 7 on the road. Just sayin'.EatTheGlass wrote:KINGS play three 7-game series to advance to the finals.....winning all game 7s on the road! Now, that's a fucking team!

I'm an admitted Ranger fan but I can't see them getting past the KINGS.
Rangers vs Kings - Does any think the Rangers have a chance?
I'm guessing Kings in 5, at least 6 respectable.
If the Rangers pull this one out it has to be a big upset. I'm curious what the odd's are.

Lots of rumors coming out of NY saying the Charles Wang sale of the NY Islanders to Philly lawyer Andrew Barroway will be announced after the finals are over. Oh God, please let this be true.

Great goaltenders are always capable of stealing a series, you guys have Lundquist. Quick, on the other hand, hasn't really played that well these playoffs...he's gotten the job done, but we've seen much more from him in the past.

The Kings wanted it more and were the better team. I could watch those two teams play a dozen more times. Good luck to the Rangers. Have a feeling they're going to need it.

I could never have pictured the Kings coming back from 3 Blackhawk leads to win it. When they jumped up 2-0 I figured it was over.

You must not have followed the Kings much this playoff run.....
Hawks had a 2-0 lead in game 2 as well, ended up losing 6-2.
