Just penalties. The story just got worse and worse.
Doesn't taint their Superbowl victory though.
The things they did were either legal hits, or illegal hits undertaken in front of the referees (as are any hits by dirty players), who were in place to call penalties on them, so fuck it, they still won.
It does undermine the whole New Orleans feel good factor a fair amount though.

The NFL gave the Saints an opportunity to clean up their act and instead the Saints lied.
The NFL had no choice but to make a supreme example out of them.
