Is Kari Lettin-em-in still on goal at Dallas? I saw that Antti Niemi is going there too.

$11m between the pair if them. Great top 6. Decent goaltenders, but too much invested in the both of them. Awful defense. Should be entertaining at least!Kid-Wicked wrote:yup. gm wants both to battle and split startsAnne_Thrax wrote:Is Kari Lettin-em-in still on goal at Dallas? Claude's going to have fun with this D. Jakub Zboril, c'mon down! The bottom of the roster still sucks with the likes of Kelly, Talbot and Rinaldo. This Jake Debrusk kid is already pencilled in before D camp starts. We're gonna need a bigger cooler for this season.

I'm cheering for you guys to get your team back, loved watching the Nords from back in the day, hope they keep the same logo and not switch it up like the Jets did.

Screw the pacman logo. Use the uniforms they were going to switch to right before they moved. Those things were awesome.jizzyjizim wrote:theglammerthebetter wrote:Its only us and vegas

Re: The official NHL thread
No comments on the Leafs hiring Lou Lamoriello as GM? I was shocked. Thought he was a Devil for life and even had a minority ownership stake in the team.
I get that he's there to prep Kyle Dubas for the role, but really? He's 72, and has not had a good draft record, development record, or much success in the cap era (minus one flukey finals run).
As an opponent of the Leafs, I 'm pleased with the bad hire.

I expect $100 to get in the building. Not sure the gouging is worth the atmosphere. dWOLF wrote:Have not heard a thing. I'm jonesing enough to follow development camp and just purchased tickets to preseason game against the Devils in Providence. Enough with the offseason already.
Maybe Franson? Erikkson/Subban could be shipped. In Don We Trust.

Not a fan of Reilly Smith and was happy with that trade. At least Hayes should bring some energy. Smith is soft, no physicality or net drive, floater, mentally check outs for long periods at a time to the point where you forget he's on the team for weeks, decent speed, good wrist shot. His 20 goals had more to do with Bergeron. Last year was a horror show for him. A fresh start might bring back some confidence.

Re: The official NHL thread
He was a "throw in" in the Seguin trade, who had a hell of a first year with the B's. He parlayed that into a big payday - which is always a big mistake after ONE good year - and he had a disastrous season last year.chungasrevenge wrote:Not a fan of Reilly Smith and was happy with that trade. He's a 3rd line guy, who can fill in on the 2nd when hot, but he should not be considered a permanent "top 6 guy".
I thought the trade was even. In Smith I think the Panthers know what they are getting, and there will be less pressure on him in Miami. With Hayes, the Bruins get more upside, as well as a local boy who will be proud to put on the sweater.
It will probably wind up being a wash, but for now I give Boston a slight edge in the deal, given Hayes' potential and I assume hes cheaper than Smith.

Hayes is cheaper than Smith. I would say it is a fair trade overall.

nick bonito and adam clendenning to pittsburg for brandon sutter and a pick that might have originally been the canucks from a previous trade.
i like anyone named sutter. 21 goals playing behind sid and gino. that might be an upgrade with him also being a checker. might be the next kesler.

I didn't know Kane had such a bad rep.
Sports radio hosts asked if a player was accused of something like this, who would you expect it to be and both answered Seguin and then Kane. I was kinda shocked.

Yep.....the guy is a little punk......beat up a cab driver over 20 cents, choked a girl with both hands around her neck a few years back at college fraternity party......also numerous stories of him being an arrogant, drunken prick when he's out at the bars.I didn't know Kane had such a bad rep.

Patrick Kane didn't rape anybody. Some girl tried to rape his contract is all.
He is too busy punching cab drivers and being passed out face down in bars to do any raping.
