The one thing that's comforting is the fact that despite them letting in 7, they scored 4. They haven't had a problem putting the puck in the net, but fuck Pronger needs some help. The Hawks did whatever they wanted in the Flyer zone all night.

With the amount of time the guy spends on the ice, that doesn't surprise me a bit.johnk5150 wrote:Pronger posted a -5 last night.WhiteHouseSubsAC wrote:The one thing that's comforting is the fact that despite them letting in 7, they scored 4. But worst of his career? Did the rest of the team suck that badly? I did like his comment about it when asked about being active for six of the seven goals.WhiteHouseSubsAC wrote:With the amount of time the guy spends on the ice, that doesn't surprise me a bit.johnk5150 wrote:

"Thanks for the Green Jacket," Pronger, referencing the prize for winning golf's Masters tournament, told a reporter audacious enough to bring up his minus-5 rating in the post-game scrum. "Real nice of you; I appreciate that."
Had a good sense of humor about it.

I agree, something is definitely wrong with the Philly fans. I think they have pent up rage or something.

Buddy of mine bought season tix in the 200 level as an "investment" a couple years ago.johnk5150 wrote:Jesus Criste. Lower bowl tickets for an if necessary game are going for nearly 10K.
His investment is showing really nice returns these days.
He says he'll go to Game 7 if it happens. I told him he's a retard if he goes.

Tell him to sell the tix; buy an amazing, large screen, hi-def TV, and tip to have it delivered and installed right away; watch it on that; and pay for a portion of next season's seats to boot.Lardbucket wrote:Buddy of mine bought season tix in the 200 level as an "investment" a couple years ago.johnk5150 wrote:Jesus Criste. I have season tickets in the 300 level. Sold a pair of game 7 tickets for $2500. Cost me $205.

It's my fucking anniversary. She's golfing this afternoon and I'm heading down the street for the game.
You can stop by and keep her company for me if you'd like. There's beer in the fridge, but the 5 and 3 year old boys will want to climb you.

Cool, thanks. Can we give them a cup of Robitussin? Usually calms kids right down and puts 'em to sleep. That way I can concentrate on the game.

Wow...some embarrassingly bad hockey from The Flyers in that 2nd period.
Fuck it. If The Flyers don't wanna play to win it, they surely won't.
Edited to add: At least they pulled it together to play decently enough in the 3rd to take this bitch to OT.

Congrats, Blackhawks fans.
Seriously, once the series is done, you don't boo the Conn Smythe winner, the Cup, etc. Philly fans really are the worst in sports.
The better team won. Chicago has done a classic rebuild and they were the best team in the league this year, even though they didn't win the President's trophy.

Re: The official NHL thread
I surprised, but happy, that the Hawks won last night.
After Philly tied the game to send it into OT, I turned the TV off. I couldn't bear to watch, thinking that the Hawks were going to lose, and we were going to a game 7.
I'm just glad that they pulled it off, because I don't think they'll be able to repeat this, unfortunately. There's already the strong possibility that they'll lose 3-4 players to free agency, due to salary cap issues...
