Re: The NFL Thread
Murray was a stud yesterday, he was 5 yards into the secondary every play before anyone could get an arm around him.

I hear ya.Bludegeon wrote:The Tournament.. Gimme a fucking break..Machado wrote:Romo changed the play on the 1st pick.WhiteHouseSubsAC wrote:Bludgeon, I agree to an extent that it goes way deeper than Romo but goddamn that guy is the face of the late game implosion. Did you know he has 19 fourth quarter comeback wins on his resume? Neither does anyone else because the guy is the poster child for meltdown. I thought I read somewhere that on that second pick Romo changed the play that came in from a run to a pass. That's on him.
It could be worse, Eli Manning could be your QB....
There was a "CASINO" defense to stop the run, so Romo checked out to a pass. Which who knows how many other NFL QB's would have done.
At the same time, there is no room for a turnover at that point in the game.
Can't happen. Should not happen.
Better to run into the "CASINO" defense and at the very worst get stopped for a loss while the clock is running.
The 2nd pick was a miscommunication between the WR and Romo.
WR cut off the route and Romo threw to a spot he thought the WR should be, based on the "trap" coverage.
Anyway you slice it, Cowboys caught a HUGE break with the Eagles taking
a dump in Minnesota. I didn't see that coming.
Cowboys still control their own destiny.
Win out and they earn a berth in the NFL Tournament.
You don't turn into a fucking pass happy sissy team when your fucking RB is averaging 7.1 ypc and you have the other team on the ropes. You pound them into submission. This isn't rocket science. This is fucking EGO's by an average backup QB who somehow is an HC and a douche OC that loves the passing offense.. Eagles fans know what I am talking about.
Usually, coaches know how to , or try to protect a team's weakness. Dallas could of and should of done both by relying on Murray and T.O.P... Killing two birds with one stone.. Keeping the Defense off of the field and keeping the ball out of Romo's hands in regards to passing. Romo and Co. shouldn't of even been in those situations at that point.. That is up to the HC to "process" the information. Realize his defense can't stop shit. Focus on the running game and the clock and go with it..
Or, if you are going to pass, work off of the fucking play action because of your 7.1 ypc running back has given that option.. But, don't make the passing game your main point of selection with that fucking lead.. Jesus. They know that defense ain't gonna hold up. Nevermind the fact that the Pack offense SCORED on every possession they had in the second half..
And, by all means, 5 pt lead, HC needs to tell Romo , "you check out of the run to a pass, you are benched for the next game. It's run, run, fucking run.. Don't care what the defense is playing.". Let the Pack sweat, burn timeouts.. It's just fucking ridiculous. Oh, I need that 48 hour rule now.. LOL.
Ballgame won.. My seven year old can see this shit.
You are preaching to the choir AMIGO!
HC should have had that conversation with Romo, if only to drive the point home.

Re: The NFL Thread
So Dez Bryant left the field yesterday before the game was over because he didn't want people to see him crying?
Your 2013 Dallas Cowboys, folks.

Yes he did admit to this today when he spoke with the media.
If the Defense played with 1/2 the passion then those 11 players might
stop an offense from scoring at will.
Various players & coaches are responsible for the loss yesterday.
Bryant is not one of them. Neither is Murray.
Originally I was upset my local Fox station would not be broadcasting the game.
This coming Sunday it once again does not look like the game will be televised locally.
Maybe that and the fact the game is on the road will lead to a W

I wish the rest of the team would've followed.. He's sick of it. Good.. Hopefully he can sign with another team that actually gives a damn about winning. A talent going to waste in Dallas. No theme for this franchise. Fuck em.

Re: The NFL Thread
I'm sorry, but when I hear that story I think of the mid 90s Cowboys with their hooker/drug house and Michael Irving stabbing people in the neck with scissors. Troy Aikman wouldn't have put up with that shit. Emmitt Smith would have dragged Bryant's ass back on the field. I despise the Cowboys but you can't deny they won with swagger back in the day. I can't muster hate for players and a team I almost pity at this point.

Machado doesn't even have faith his team can beat the worst team in football, the Redskins, next weekend.

What do you think Bludgeon?
You realize Kirk Cousins is a better QB right now than RG3, right?

I'm hoping the Dallas game is so I can actually watch the game.Tymaster wrote:What game do you see being flexed the last week of the season?
Odds are low the NFL will flex that game.
I guess Pitt vs GB
or
NE vs Balt

No, I mean week 17. The Cincy/Baltimore game could be for the AFC North.Machado wrote:I'm hoping the Dallas game is so I can actually watch the game.Tymaster wrote:What game do you see being flexed the last week of the season?

I think they're sticking with the Bears/Eagles game next week.

If there is a game to settle a division title, that game should be flexed

Re: The NFL Thread
Yup. That was the point of the flex. I believe it was 3 seasons ago the Seattle/Saint Louis game was essentially a regular season playoff game. Winner won the division and was in. Loser went home. Seattle took the division at 7-9 amidst much furor.

There are few things more beautiful than watching the Lions Detroit all over themselves.

I have already stated I hope the Skins pound the Cowboys this Sunday.. ANYTHING to get this coaching staff fired and HOPEFULLY Jones gets a clue.(yeah, right)..
But, it is Tuesday now. And I hope Dallas beats the shit outta the Skins.. Just because the Skins are usually Dallas's bitch anyhow..
Do I see it happening? No, I don't, so, no faith here either. Why would any Cowboys fan who is not insane, have faith in this team? You gotta be kidding me..
And... I didn't need Griffin looking like shit all season to realize that I think Cousins is a better QB.. I just think he is..

What is up with the Cowboys and Lions in December?
Maybe it's the colors.
The Vikings (mostly qbed by the horrible Ponder) now have scored one more point than the team that employs Calvin Johnson, Reggie Bush and Matthew Turnover.

What's up with the Vikings, always?
Maybe it's the decades of ineptitude and karmic payback for sucking Favre's cock.
The Vikings have now won one less Super Bowl than the Tampa Bay Bucs, the New Orleans Saints, and the St. Louis Rams.

True, but you were one talking shit. because I said you have a shitty coach and Suh is dirty, both facts.
The 3 biggest shit talkers here to me are a Lions fan, A Raiders fan who thinks a white guy wearing number 7 is an NFL RB and a communist Redskins fan who shit up this board for 18 months with tails of how his one legged QB was going to take over the NFL.
