Mattingly walking Reed Johnson to get to Heyward was one of the worst baseball moves I have ever seen. The Braves fans couldn't believe it.
Of course he drives in the game winning run.
I had a fun trip. I love Atlanta and the Braves fans are some of the nicest fans in sports.

If the Cards can win game 4 and AJ Burnett starts game 5, very probably the Cards are going to advance.

Ouch. Kershaw is getting the start tonight over Nolasco. Makes sense, I mean do you really want to go back to Atlanta for game 5? He K'd 12 in game one.

1. Holy shit Wacha's got a no hitter going through 8! Well....he did until Alvarez's HR.
2. Victor Martinez and Grant Balfour almost got into into it today. God bless on field microphones. FCC doesn't heavily regulate cable channels so we got all the goodies.

Detroit's back is against the wall. The team a lot of analyists were picking as WS faves might not make past the DS. Oh well they gave Cabrerra Trout's MVP last season after SF worked him over. Maybe now they'll give him Donaldson's.

I'm all for it with. Nolasco last few starts have been blown up, if Kershaw slips this game Zack Greinke gets another shot.NeverSurrender wrote:I'm not sure about this move.killeverything wrote:Ouch. Don't worry about it. It only took the highest payroll in baseball history to make it to the NLCS.Tenacious_Dio wrote:Eh. We're used to it.UtahRatt wrote: Fuck you Atlanta and your stupid fucking chant! Tomahawk this bitches!

A Boston fan would know all about spending money to win.
And never forget they made the NLCS is 2008 and 2009 without the highest in history.

Kill is harmless. He knows his Sux spend a lot of money on payroll and
the current roster includes PED usage

I'm real glad the Cards are coming home. I got sick from worry watching that game last night so I turned the volume OFF and didn't have to listen to that deafening Pirate crowd. I have to say those fans hung in til the very last pitch. Matt Holiday is god.
Re: Killeverything's (New)NeverEndingBaseballThread
Turns out the Pirates have announced
Cole is starting game 5(on normal rest).
A.J. has been passed over. Didn't think Hurdle was smart enough to make this move. Now the Pirates actually have a chance to advance

The first year the Dodgers play big money ball with Boston and a Boston fan gets jealous. It didn't always work for the Yankees let alone The Red Sox. If it means anything you can have Josh Beckett back!killeverything wrote:Don't worry about it. It only took the highest payroll in baseball history to make it to the NLCS.
If you count all the money on the bench and didn't play a factor this year LA would have a competitive payroll. Between Kemp, Beckett, Chad Billingsley plus others, hell the Dodgers could buy Miami with the money on LA's IR list alone.
Realistically, if we counted the salary on today's Dodgers line up I bet it's lower then The Cry Sox.
Boston 2 Tampa bay 1
Sox's just put up 2 to take the lead, good game. I want Boston even tho Boston's salary could buy 3 Tampa Bay Ray teams.

Re: Killeverything's (New)NeverEndingBaseballThread
In a win that surprises no one Boston advances to the ALCS.
Oakland gets to face Velander with either Colon or Gray. I would go with Gray if I was Melvin. Verlander isn't having his best season this year but facing him is still pretty unenviable. I know Colon is a vet, but he was hit all over Oakland Col. and Gray has an advantage with Detroit's hitters not being as familiar with him IMO.
We've also got a Wainwright/Cole game 5 coming up. That should be awesome. Were St. Louis to advance I wanna see Wainwright go up against Kershaw in the NLCS. One of the best pitchers in the NL against the best pitcher in baseball? Awesome.

If Wainwright AND Kershaw are on their game and face each other it would be an amazing game.killeverything wrote:We've also got a Wainwright/Cole game 5 coming up. That should be awesome. Clearly I'm an LA fan but with the team beat up, I had my doubt they'd take Atlanta like they did, out hit the shit out of them...Looking ahead I'd rather face the Pirates, the Cards will give LA a harder time. I'm happy and hoping for a WS but I just don't think everything's in place for LA. God I miss Andre Ethier, Skip Schumaker isn't filling in nicely so each night it's another hero. Going into the playoffs I picked Boston and I still think they'll do it.
Hell, from opening day to June I was praying we didn't finish last in the West so going on that unbelievable run, taking the division, destroying The Braves and now moving into the NLCS. I'm happy, it's been exciting and satisfying.....But.
Deep down, regardless of my doubts....I want that Championship. Bring on anyone, go LA.

It was funny to hear the Dodger fans mock it in LA.

"The first two games of the series at Turner Field featured plenty of tomahawk chopping. As most of you know, the tomahawk chop is a rather loud, obnoxious chant that Braves fans and Florida State fans are obsessed with."

Was that HR fan interference?
Looked fucking close but I don't think he'd caught it.

That happens all the time, too. Honestly, I don't know why people get so bent out of shape over it. It's stupid, but it's been going on for 20+ years. And it doesn't seem to help them win games in October.UtahRatt wrote:Dodgers Fans Mocked the Braves by Doing the Tomahawk Chop at Dodger Stadium
