I'd sit Ray Rice this week.

Here's a good story about the Bengals.
Basically DT Devon still's four year old daughter got cancer, he was going to quit football but then he wouldn't have health insurance so the Bengals CUT him, put Still's on wavers, resigned him to the practice squad after 24 hours. Now he has full 100% health insurance for his daughter, can stay home to take care of her and collect somewhat of a paycheck........Fuck, I tore a wrist tendon on the job, it was their fault and they did everything to fire me. Go Bengals.

Devon Still, a defensive tackle for the Bengals, contemplated stepping away from football for a year after his four-year-old daughter was diagnosed with cancer. But when faced with the decision of staying on the team for his daughter to be able to use the NFL’s health insurance policy, he decided to stay.

Earlier this month, the Bengals came to him with some news: He wasn’t going to make the squad. Instead, they promised to cut him and resign him to the practice squad after clearing waivers so that he could focus on his family and hopefully eventually be able to focus on football again.

On Thursday, Still appeared on SportsCenter to talk about the Bengals’ decision, calling it one of the best situations the Bengals could have put him in. “It was definitely a long 24 hours,” he said of the time he had to wait to clear waivers. “Personally I was hoping that I was able to sign back with the Bengals for a lot of reasons. One being that they stuck with me since June 2 when this all came out about my daughter, they’ve been very helpful with just talking to me, just being there for me when I needed someone to talk to …”

The Bengals drafted the third-year lineman out of college. And while the NFL is a business and has its moments where players are very much treated like it is, understanding that sometimes being an organization that cares about its players is worth more than having an extra lineman in the organization just in case.

NFL health insurance, according to Still, covers 100% of cost for his daughter’s treatment, which will be in the seven figures.

“It was very vital for me to have that for this fight,” he said.

Here's a shocker. Ray Rice never met his dad. Raised by his mother. Yet he has no problem hitting a girl? This guy should have problems with men not women.

You'll have to ask coach Jerry Al Davis Jones! This isn't Deja Vu, it's the same shit from day one year after year after year. Tony Dilfer and the Cowgirls will never go anywhere until Al Jones hands the ball and the team off.

The Cowboys are also named as a defendant in the lawsuit. The team is being sued for "failing to investigate the allegations" and "failing to report the crimes to law enforcement," among other things.

I'm no Jones fan or Cowboys fan, but this lawsuit looks like some people who will end up getting counter-sued for
slander/libel and not come out on the winning end.

Agreed,..

Sean Lee wasn't going to help or be that big of a difference on Defense in that game, or this year. The players are not that good. Carr is a shell of what he used to be, if he was ever that good. Clairborne? Oh please. Waste of a draft pick.

It's just mind boggling how this coach still has a fucking job.. Only in Dallas..

This team will not win anything significant until the Jones family is long gone.

I just can't understand how Cowboys fans can have any ounce of belief in this team. They are my crack cocaine, I am sorry to say. I am just trying to hopefully weather the storm until a real Front Office owns this team.

I remember living in CA. and loving those early game times too. It took some getting used to being born and raised in the central time zone to all of a sudden having games on at ten o'clock in the morning.

I try and watch both channels hour long pre-game shows and my body was conditioned to those not even being on till eleven and the damn games were already a hour old by then.

Lived close by a Black Angus that I would go to for every Monday night game the beer was cheap and they had a build it yourself taco/hotdog bar that was free if you were a paying customer.

Yea yea yea you got me.
FYI it was $1000 for each taco or $500 for each hotdog.

Now back to the topic on hand - Damn it to hell I was at least hoping for a better than the last couple of years season for the Steelers it's looking more than likely like a repeat all over again.

Hopefully the Tennessee Titans will kick ass this Sunday and the Tennessee Volunteers will suck ass on Saturday.

Looking forward to seeing if the Titans are for real, same for the Vikings and of course the Lions.
We've already seen that the Steelers reign is most likely over. Now what about the Giants, and not
really a reign, but the 'Skins.

It's good news for my fantasy teams and the patriots this weekend.
I appreciate his kid taking some licks for this greater purpose.
Doesn't he have a gaggle of other kids? Hopefully he starts whoopin' them too for a longer suspension.

Ray Rice beat his wife, Adrian Peterson beat his kid, Kellen Winslow arrested for beating his meat in a Target parking lot. Think I'm gonna get my son a Winslow jersey. Seems to be the best role model the NFL has.

Adrian Peterson sounds like a psychotic fucking dickhead asshole of a father.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Peterson grabbed a tree branch – which he consistently referred to as a “switch” – removed the leaves and struck the child repeatedly.

The beating allegedly resulted in numerous injuries to the child, including cuts and bruises to the child’s back, buttocks, ankles, legs and scrotum, along with defensive wounds to the child’s hands. Peterson then texted the boy’s mother, saying that one wound in particular would make her “mad at me about his leg. I got kinda good wit the tail end of the switch.”

Peterson also allegedly said via text message to the child’s mother that he “felt bad after the fact when I notice the switch was wrapping around hitting I (sic) thigh” and also acknowledged the injury to the child’s scrotum in a text message, saying, “Got him in nuts once I noticed. But I felt so bad, n I’m all tearing that butt up when needed!

According to police reports, the child, however, had a slightly different story, telling authorities that “Daddy Peterson hit me on my face.” The child also expressed worry that Peterson would punch him in the face if the child reported the incident to authorities. He also said that he had been hit by a belt and that “there are a lot of belts in Daddy’s closet.” He added that Peterson put leaves in his mouth when he was being hit with the switch while his pants were down. The child told his mother that Peterson “likes belts and switches” and “has a whooping room.”

Peterson, when contacted by police, admitted that he had “whooped” his son on the backside with a switch as a form of punishment, and then, in fact, produced a switch similar to the one with which he hit the child. Peterson also admitted that he administered two different “whoopings” to his son during the visit to Texas, the other being a punishment for the 4-year-old scratching the face of a 5-year-old.

In an interview with Houston police, Peterson was very matter-of-fact and calm about the incident, appearing to believe he had done nothing wrong

Roger Goodell should be fucking fired, like from a Surface to Surface missile.

Not just for all the cover ups and ruining the game but because he's a stupid fucked in the head asshole like the rest of them. He should be brought up on charges.

What's Adrian Peterson going to get?
Goodell: Well we should let him play out the year during the trial even tho he admitted to beating his kids then maybe put Adrian in time out in the off season, we shouldn't judge, Adrian was just trying to help his children play xbox nicely by whacking them in the nuts with a tree branch. That's not so bad.

Did you look at Peterson's mug shot? Looked like he was posing for a commercial or for his Monday Night Football photo.

People are still defending Peterson saying it was old school. I've spanked my children but every time it's been with my bare hand on their butt. He thrashed the kid with a stick and did it all over his legs, in the nuts, etc.

And we all felt sorry for him when his other kid got killed last year. Looks like any of his kids are destined to be abused.

And punching them in the face all while acting like it's enjoyment. He has a wooping room...They're what 4 and 5 year old's and he's going Ray Rice on them. And what's this letting the 4yo walk up and scratch the 5yo's face?

I don't see a problem with what you said, a couple spanks with the hand but what he's doing is sick, twisted and wrong.
