Fucking Belichick. I don't know how he does it, but somehow, he got that disaster of a team that barely showed up in KC on Monday night to play light's out, well-executed football on a short week against a rested bye week Bengals team that looked to be a terrible match against the Pats.

He seems to never let that team spiral into a deep hole, and they typically respond when their backs are against the wall -- at least in the regular season. I remember a couple of years ago when they were not doing well in the regular season and they went into the Jets' place on a sunday (thursday?) night, and the Jets were having a rare run, and, again, the Patriots just smoked them at a time when they seemed really vulnerable. I can't recall them having any extended losing streaks, in, what?, the past 10+ years?

Good coaching.

And last week all of the Midwest was willing to blow him.
Andy does have a pretty good pedigree for winning but if you look back you can't see exactly how. His bad clock management is legendary, his play calling can be pretty suspect and he became awful at talent evaluation in the last part of his tenure in Philly. The real reason for the Eagles' early success during his time was drafting McNabb (and bringing in Doug Pederson to tutor him in the offense) getting Terrell Owens for that SB run and his DC Jim Johnson. If you want him as your coach you'd better have some good players on both sides of the ball and the ability to get out in front because you will guaranteed lose some close games because of his blown timeouts/challenges/clock management. That era of football in Philly was one of the best it ever had but you would be hard pressed to have any good memories of it because of what could have been. At the end of the day Andy was culpable for a lot of that (along with McNabb's refined ability to throw a pass at the feet of a receiver at any given time).

Now that baseball is done for me I can focus on the Chargers. Good season so far and good game yesterday, exactly as it should have been - beating up a much weaker team. Those injuries are piling up though, and they have the Chiefs (always tough against the Chargers) and Broncos (at Denver) coming up before their bye. They should be able to beat the Raiders and Dolphins, and they'll probably split the two against the Chiefs and Broncos. 7-2 at the bye and a chance to get healthier.

I love any team that lays the lumber to the Jets. Most pathetic franchise in a league that has the Raiders and the Jaguars also.

Such an awesome headline:

Report: Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson funded orgy for underage brother with charity money

The good news, for Neversurrender, is that I think FINALLY people know that his true nickname is "All Day."

Jesus, NeverSurrender has to be apoplectic with the way his team is falling apart. I wish he'd come back so we could console him.

He gets a 100 Million dollar contract and uses donated money to buy pussy.

What an asshole. He also claimed a 70K donation to a church that was never given.

Bullshit. Media will find a way to blame this on, either on Godell personally, or the league.

Just ask Bill Simmons that piece of shit Boston jerk-off.

Dallas O-Line kept Watt in check. No sacks, 4 solo tackles.
pffft. Watt wasn't Watt in that game. He was in obvious discomfort, either hurt or sick. He's NEVER spent that much time on the sideline taking oxygen. I don't know how much it would have affected the outcome had he been healthy, but gloating over holding him in check under those conditions is ridiculous. Still, congrats on the win. That was a hell of a game. Murray was solid, Dez Bryant made a fantastic catch at the end of the game and Romo made some huge plays. Watching him having to go to silent count and blowing a delay of game penalty in his own stadium was awesome though.

if jerry wants 90,000 asses in the seats expect there to be a lot of fans from the other team
at the game.
then again all the consecutive 8-8 seasons have turned off the local fans and who can
blame them for selling the tix to the opposing team.

oh so Watt was injured or sick. i get it. maybe if Watt was 100% the Dallas O-Line might
get a little bit of credit.

not looking forward to the Seattle game on Sunday. tough test. will show just how
much team has progressed or not.

Mad? Not at all. I expected them to get their asses kicked. If anything, I was pleasantly surprised. The Texans are a long way from being a good team right now, so playing Dallas, a supposed good team, to overtime, on the road, I'll take it.

Dallas was "supposed" to be a "good team"? LOL, Aside from the homer blind ass Cowboys fans and possibly Machado. LOL. Where on earth did you hear or think that? LOL

4-1 is a TOTAL surprise.. It ain't gonna last, but, I'll take it... This was a 6-10 team. Probably still is.

I don't think the Texans are that far off from being good at all.

Oh, and the "road" game bullshit means NOTHING in Att stadium. There just as many Texans fans in the place as Cowboys fans.Same with when the Stealers , or Niners play there..

It ain't Seattle, Pissburgh, or Green Bay.. lol

I'd argue that the Cowboys probably aren't as good as all the media honks had them being after they blew out New Orleans. The Texans offense is absolute crap right now. Their defense is damn good, but outside of Arian Foster, that offense sucks. The fact that they hung with Dallas like they did is more of an indicator of Dallas' ineptitude than it is Houston's improvement. Until they get a real QB, they're 500 at best.

The media is full of idiots..

The same media was completely down on the Cowboys in the offseason and the start of the season..

Yes, Houston's defense is good no doubt. But, average offense.

Dallas has a below average Defense (as seen on the last 2 fucking scoring drives by Houston).. And, an offense that is hit and miss..

I think the game went as I saw it going .. A tight game between two slightly average teams.

Texans are 1 above average QB away from being a serious contender. Not sure the team can go far with the current QB. Matter of fact I thought he was out of the league until I saw him take the field.

Dallas is 4-1 and most football fans are upset about that.
Their defense was supposed to be the worst, the absolute worst in the league and that has not come true.
Nobody saw a dominant O-Line and nobody saw Murray as a leading rusher candidate.

Pathetic the excuses keep pouring in with every Dallas win.
Might be time to give them some credit for winning 4 out of 5 games.

The Texans need a good throwing QB?
Andre Johnson is getting double covered giving DeAndre a career year.
looks like Foster is finally moving the ball like his old self. But he seems to get injured a lot and I don't think he'll make to many more games.

This has been the year of the second spot receivers.

AJ Green helping Sanu
Dez definitely helping Williams
Calvin Johnson getting double covered has made Golden Tate the shit!!
Jordy Nelson is looking great and helping Randall Cobb.

If New England sticks with this 2,tight end scheme they could start making a run in the AFC.

The fucking Saints need to fire the defensive coordinator Ryan. He is rotten!

DeAndre Hopkins is going to be a star. That kid can catch anything and he looks like a good candidate to fill Andre's shoes once he hangs it up. They really need a QB with some accuracy. Fitz is crazy inconsistent. The majority of his throws are behind his receivers and he almost never hits them in stride. He'll do until the right guy comes along I guess, but they're not going to ever have a prolific offense with him. Foster has been great when healthy and the defense is fantastic. Can't wait to see how they look once Clowney gets back. I see this as an 8-8ish kind of year. O'Brien has been pretty impressive for the most part but I really have no idea what their plan is on the QB situation. I really hope they have one.

Bronces TE Julius Thomas fined only $8,000 for the chop block on Calais Campbell.
What a joke!

8K for injuring a player that could miss up to 3 weeks for an MCL injury.
That 8K sure is a deterrent.
Player safety-Go NFL!

By comparison, Jimmy Graham of the Saints was fined 30K for dunking
the ball over a goal post
