WHo was the guy in the middle of the Schwartz-Harbaugh scrum wearing the suit jacket with the Lou Albano hair?

Harbaugh was out of line. "Act as if", that should be his motto.
Harbaugh was not composed, let his emotions get the best of him. You can bet anything that if the roles were reversed, Harbaugh would have a huge problem with an opposing coach.
Go cheer in the locker room, in the plane, etc...Not in the middle of the field while shaking hands with the losing coach.

Re: NFL 2011 Thread
I'm glad the usually emontionless Shwartz showed some fire. Maybe this will wake up the team. I know their 5-1 now but Staffords looked completely inept for about half of every game. Not at all how he looked in the preseason.
And why in the hell does Detroit not have an oh shit plan that consists of Calvin running deep on the left, Nate or Titus running a little less far on the right and Best in a short route down the middle.
I have alot of respect for what the 49'ers have done this year, but gawd I hate that team.

The slogan through the Saints shit years was always "Keep the faith"....sometimes that gets pretty fucking hard when the best player on the field is throwing 3 INTS. Against the Bucs!? -smashes face into desk-
That one was hard to swallow - but at the same time confirms my doubts about the team being THAT good. Kudos to Payton for taking the hit and calling from the bench. That was awesome.

We can't fucking tackle. That's what killed us last season. It's just absurd to watch sometimes. No fucking defense at all and poor Drew has to scramble to pick up the pieces in the few minutes we actually have the offense on the field.

Dolphins have a great chance to finish 0-16 this year and get the first pick in the draft again. That was shocking again last night, and against a not so good Jets team. So many mistakes on offence and defence.

Penalty on Harbaugh may have started feud with Schwartz

Getty ImagesJim Harbaugh and Jim Schwartz’s altercation heard around the football world may have been inspired by a mistake Harbaugh made in the first quarter Sunday.
After Brandon Pettigrew scored the game’s first touchdown, Harbaugh decided to challenge the play. He was given a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for an illegal challenge. (All scoring plays are automatically reviewed.)
Chris Chase at Yahoo! Sports unearthed the television broadcast of the aftermath, which shows Lions coach Jim Schwartz enjoying the penalty to no end. He strutted up and down the sideline yelling towards the 49ers sideline.
It’s unclear what Schwartz yelled, but it seemed to be about knowing the rules. (Check around the 2 minute mark of the video.) Perhaps that moment caused Harbaugh to be a little more exuberant in his back-slapping at the game’s end.
Florio may disagree, but I enjoy seeing the emotion out of the coaches. It’s an emotional game and great theatre. Harbaugh and Schwartz have a lot in common, which is why their confrontation almost makes sense.
Of course, Harbaugh was the one able to display the most enjoyable emotions after the game.

The Jets might be the worst 3-3 team I've ever seen. San Diego and the Bills are going to slaughter them and the NY media will have it's fangs out at 3-5.metalpowerman5000 wrote:MickeyG wrote:Dolphins have a great chance to finish 0-16 this year and get the first pick in the draft again. They said the second one is conditional, but you're right. They say Palmer is in excellent condition and ready to play. He wil just need time to learn the offense and get in sync with his receivers. I don't think Oakland will ask him to do too much and they are built to run first. He's replacing Jason Campbell, not Ken Stabler.NeverSurrender wrote:They said the second one is conditional, but you're right. And I'm not 100% sure but I don't think Oakland now has a pick until the 5th round in the 2012 draft.

So according to you, if you're better than jason campbell, you're worth 2 first round picks, that should be somehwere in the top 10 or 12?SkyDog112046 wrote: They say Palmer is in excellent condition and ready to play. Re: NFL 2011 Thread
No, I think they grossly overpaid for Palmer. I would have thought a 2nd or 3rd rounder was sufficient, but Oakland had only a 1st or 5th to offer. I think they are/were going to finish just out of the playoffs so the pick will be closer to 18-19 and even that is too much to pay for him.NeverSurrender wrote:So according to you, if you're better than jason campbell, you're worth 2 first round picks, that should be somehwere in the top 10 or 12?SkyDog112046 wrote: They say Palmer is in excellent condition and ready to play. My point was that they are asking Palmer to step in for Campbell, not Stabler, so he's not going to be asked to do too much. Campbell is a middle of the pack QB at best. That's all Palmer has to be.

You can say that again.
Are the Raiders trying to ruin their future by acquiring a QB that literally is on his last leg?
WOW!
The mayor of Cincy should organize a parade ASAP and congratulate his NFL team on a job well done.
Key to the city might be in order!

FWIIW, Carson has a few really good years left. But he's not worth what Oakland paid.
