The Steelers wasted little time in getting rid of LeGarrette Blount, releasing the veteran running back less than 24 hours after the running back reportedly left the field before the end of Pittsburgh's victory Monday against the Titans.

"We believe the decision to release LeGarrette is in the best interest of the organization and wish him the best of luck," coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday afternoon in a statement released by the Steelers.

According to media reports, Steelers defensive assistant Joey Porter saw Blount leaving early Monday night for the team bus and called him back into the locker room several times. Blount went back in briefly but left again before his teammates had begun postgame interviews.

I saw the full 49er game this weekend and to say he is inconsistent is being nice. There is no telling if he will throw a strike to a WR or throw a 2 hopper.
I saw him twice miss a wide open receiver down the field because he failed to follow his progressions. Instead of hitting the wide open player, he threw elsewhere, into coverage and incomplete.

Anyway, Wilson is a premiere QB. Kap is nowhere near that level, but he seems to believe he is. A victim of his own very, very brief success last year.

I didn't see anybody putting Wilson in the same group as Kaepernick.

I have a philosophy that you shouldn't
have running backs on your team.

Running backs like Blount and AP are always getting into trouble.
It's too much
of a risk and good teams can win without running backs. You should
focus instead on drafting QBs, but not in the first round because the
risk is too high.

Smart teams also
stock up on first-round DBs, because nobody cares
if they bust or not. You can also
never go wrong hitting return randomly in your posts

Machado = I watched Kaepernick one game he sucks! Can't throw...bla bla. I watched Wilson once, he's a premier franchise QB!
QB's should be pro's the day they get drafted from the 4th round.

To me Russell Wilson isn't as great as his persona. I'd love to have him he's good, matured and does his job. His mobility opens up the running game but he's not proving to be anything special as a passer...He throws a lot of short passes yet his percentage is barley in the top 20, his yards and stats are nothing special. His fumbles and INT's are adding up. He had a bad month or so and Seattle's record shows it.
Wilson QB RAT isn't in the top 15. In fact Kapper and him are neck and neck with Kapper ahead in a lot of key stats.
Difference is, Kap has been sacked more then anyone. "Kap and Cam"
I don't think Kap has fully matured, Harbaugh makes him worse, his line sucks and he don't have WR's.
Give Colin another season or two and well see how good he is, I'm betting he'll improve if the 49ers give him some help or get a better coach.

Right now, I'd take Wilson, I've seen him make beautiful throws on the run and he's proven. But I'm not giving up on Kapper, I think his best games are ahead of him.

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Dwayne Gratz found himself in an all-too-familiar situation at 5 am on Monday morning: he wanted to buy some things at a convenience store but was out of cash.

While many of us would find an ATM or use a credit card, perhaps even the ole Jameis Winston five-finger-discount, Gratz had a different idea.

Per ESPN: According to a Miami Beach Police Department report, Gratz argued with an employee at the store after he tried to pay for several items with bubble gum because he didn't have any money.

After Gratz refused to leave the store and caused a disturbance that caused other customers to leave the store, the report said the employee called police.

The two MBPD officers that arrived noticed that Gratz had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol, the report said. They told Gratz to leave the store several times but he told police: "No. I'm not leaving."

Gratz was booked on charges of misdemeanor disorderly intoxication and trespassing and was released after posting $1,000 bond (in cash, not gum).

Gratz missed Monday's practice, drawing the ire of head coach Gus Bradley.

"He had an unfortunate situation over the weekend," Bradley told ESPN. "It's not good, what took place, but it is a matter that we have to investigate even more... I want to talk to him and then we'll handle it within."
