Re: The NFL Thread
Hold up on crowning them NFC champs. If they win they still have another game before the Super Bowl.

Re: The NFL Thread
I would be shocked if the Panthers scored more than 3 points.

I love it because I think the Panthers will win it and shock people. Butthurt? Not at all. Just excited for tomorrow. When panthers played seatle in October they held the lead for 59 minutes. Had a bunch of injuries and at the end they blew it. They are healthy now pretty much. I think they win it tomorrow.Crazy Levi wrote:Why do you love that?kylel wrote:I love how people are not giving the Panthers a chance in hell to win. I think they will shock a lot of people. Sucks that Star is hurt but I think the team will be ok. Defense is looking great.
Go Panthers!!
I don't get the butthurt - despite being only the second losing team to make the playoffs in NFL history, most people seemed to think they'd beat the QB-less Cardinals - which they did. People haven't been picking on the Panthers so I don't get the sensitivity.
But this week? You have to be fucking nuts.
I'm not giving the Panthers a chance in hell to win in Seattle. Are you officially saying they will, or do you just think they won't get embarrassed and that alone will be enough to "shock" people?

Well that would indeed shock some people, including myself. I think they'll get beat, badly.
But hey good luck. I got no love for the Seahawks so I hope you have a fun day.

It sucks for any team to get this far and then the # 1 player for them to be injured.
Redneck? LOL...
Da fuck?? You still stuck in the 60's,,
Would love to see the Cowboys back at the Superbowl, but, I am not seeing that.

Don't really need to hear these commentators blather about Goodell's "integrity". Fucking hell, that's even worse than when they praise team owners for 10 minutes at a time.
Gronkowski's fun as hell to watch.

If the Hawks AND Ducks manage to choke, I hope they don't become Blazers Bandwagon-Ass Cats.

Re: The NFL Thread
That Melvin for the Ravens just got raped by Brady on that drive, and the DC did nothing to help him. Shocking coaching. Play after play went to that side, and play after play Melvin gave up yards.

I love Cam, but he comes across as someone who's so confident in his physical gifts that he doesn't bother to fully prepare himself.

Re: The NFL Thread
I guess beating the lowly Cardnals doesn't mean you can beat the Hawks.
Still the best in the NFL, I think the Hawk's are a lot weaker by replacing Tate and *Harvin with draft picks.....But they've proven they CAN win without Lynch. The only way I see the Hawks losing is if they have to make up a sizable deficit. Unlike last year, I think they can be beat, but I'm not betting on it.
This is why I think there's a good chance Lynch leaves, or has to leave. It's complicated but they have WR's, TE, O-Line and other holes to fill after they make Russ the highest paid QB in the league but that's to be talked about after the SuperBowl....Or seasons end.
Good win Hawks.

This headline rubs salt in the wound.
Russell Wilson showed Cam Newton what a franchise quarterback looks like!
http://espn.go.com/blog/carolina-panthers/
SEATTLE -- Cam Newton didn't have to look far on Saturday night to see what a franchise quarterback looks like.
He was wearing No. 3 for the Seattle Seahawks.
Russell Wilson stepped up on the big stage once again, completing all eight of his third-down pass attempts -- three of them for touchdowns -- in a 31-17 victory over the Carolina Panthers that sent the defending Super Bowl champions back to the NFC Championship Game.
Newton, who celebrates big moments with his patented "Superman" move, looked human.

If he hasn't lost his balls, he could make that defense into a monster.
Things that can't be said, quoth the Ravens, "Nevermore".
Flacco hasn't thrown an interception since 1946.
Ravens have won 623 road games in a row.
Flacco has a higher playoff win percentage than 1.000.
Suggs and his John Lackey derp-mouth....well, anything. Eat Raven, bitch.

So Rex went to a team with a failed starting QB and an adequate backup to another in the same situation. The only difference being his primary area of expertise is already covered really well.
scarred but smarter
Re: The NFL Thread
I did like Don Shula calling Belichick, "Belicheat" in a recent interview though. I love how knowing about a "bounty" on players heads gets you banned for a few years but cheating by videotaping the opposition for nearly 10 years only gets you a $500000 fine. Not only videotaping but using radio frequencies outside of normal NFL use so that they could get dodgy info to Brady. Fucking Goodell.Tymaster wrote:Love 'em or hate 'em, Belichick and Brady just keep adding to the legacy. Coming back from not one but TWO, 14 point deficits!? Clinic boyos.

Re: The NFL Thread
I don't see how Atlanta is supposed to be a better job than Buffalo. The Bills showed some promise this year and like Gritt said the chance to stay in the same division will be fun. He always gave New England a good game and who wouldn't want the chance to show up your old boss.
Suggs acted like a bitch I thought with all his I hate them B.S. I'm glad he lost and that skirmish he and his teammates had with Brady was bush league.
