We've actually never had a repeat champion. It's been somebody different every year going all the way back to when Attorney John was the commissioner.

Made a hard charge, winning my last 5 games, but, it was not enough to make the playoffs. Good luck to all of you still alive!

nice winning streak you had going...it's a shame you came up a few points shoet because you were the hottest team in the league for the past month. Better luck next year Nick...NickasInSaltLick wrote:Made a hard charge, winning my last 5 games, but, it was not enough to make the playoffs. Good luck to all of you still alive!

Bye's luck wasn't good enough. By .36 of a POINT. Holy shit, that's the closest margin I've ever seen. So it's me vs. Jake in the final. With my number one weapon (Manning) most likely riding the bench. I've got all my chips on Philly vs. Dallas. Good luck, Yonkel!Fast_Eddie_Schenker wrote:Well fuck...another wasted season.

Good luck to you too! I got hosed in my other league due to the NFL changing the ruling on the Kurt Warner TD pass like fucking 4 days after it happened so the Sludge League is for all the marbles.

Our game was pretty close as well. With four minutes left in the game, we were within a point of each other. It was Peterson vs. Manning, and Peterson was winning. The score was 182.36 to 181.70... until... the Vikings have to punt the ball away, Manning returns it for a handful of yards.
Final- 182.36 - 186.06

I thought for sure our score was going to be adjusted, I lost out in Baseball on a tiebreaker so I figured the same thing would happen this time.

Congrats. Can't believe what a huge dump the Eagles took yesterday, I should have beaten you by 40 pointsJakeYonkel wrote:Good luck to you too! Ah well. Pitchers and catchers next month, which means that Fantasy BB can't be far behind.

Re: Sludge Fantasy Football 2009, The big league!
Thanks man. I know you put all your eggs in the Eagles' basket.
But I gotta say... whoever set up this league needs to push the playoffs ahead a week, so they start in week 14 and end in week 16.
That way my championship team won't feature Alex Smith, Mike Hart, Justin Gage, etc.
Because when you get down to it, if you're playing a bunch of scrubs since your stud guys aren't gonna get the reps, it's a crapshoot anyway.

Yeah, it's laughable when the Championship features Peyton Manning and Phillip Rivers...on the bench.

Noted. We'll finish in week #16 next year. Although it seems like some teams are packing it in earlier and earlier. We might have to wrap up the playoffs by week 12 in a few years!JakeYonkel wrote:Thanks man. I know you put all your eggs in the Eagles' basket.
