...i know everyone wants to see mayweather vs pacman and hopefully thats coming soon, but COTTO aint no joke, and i think he will give manny a good fight, but i think manny is gonna pick him apart with his speed wearing him down and then KO him late in the fight.
Boxing fans here, how do you see this fight playing out?

I see it the same way that you do. Pacman is just too fast, and will push the fight, and I think their will be a late KO.

I hope Manny wins this one. GO PHILIPPINES!
He'll destory Cotto, and probably finish him with a 7th or 8th round KO.

I think Mayweather vs. Mosley would be the ideal fight. I think Mayweather would not have a problem beating Pacman. It would be closer than the Marquez fight but Mayweather would win 7-8 rounds.
Unfortunatly, I don't think we will ever see a Mayweather vs. Mosley fight. Mayweather wants to make money vs. Pacman and then retire again.

I always thought Cotto lost a lot of punch resistance since the fight wth Margarito. I think it'll be late stoppage for Pacman.
I'm sure Manny will fight Mayweather at some point in the future. Seeing as Manny started out as a Bantamweight and Floyd likes to fight guys who are at least three weights below him.
Of course, if he wanted to cement his GOAT status he'd fight Paul Williams or Shane Mosley.

Pacquiao will win by decision, but it should be a good fight and an interesting clash of styles.

Impressive win by Manny Pacquiao. Miguel Cotto started the fight off very well, he established his job and was moving Manny back. Unfortunately for him, he stopped using his jab and tried to go for the homerun. Miguel left himself open and paid for it. This fight was over after Manny knocked Cotto down for the 2nd time.
Manny Pacquiao established himself tonight as one of the greatest ever with his 7th world championship. That being said, I don't think he can beat Mayweather. I think a Mayweather vs.Pacquiao fight would be a boring floyd Meather dissection of Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather is a defensive specialist who sticks with a plan. This is a guy that does not care about being booed as long as he wins the fight. He will do what it takes regardless of how boring it looks. All you have to do is look at his last fight against Marquez, he had many chances to knock him out, but choose not to, because he didn't want to deviate from his gameplan. The guy does not make mistakes and he won't against Pacquiao.

I tend to agree. Floyd is easily the best defensive fighter/counter puncher there.
José Luis Castillo showed that you really have to get close to Floyd to cause him any problems and try and keep him moving backwards. Hatton did what you needed to do for about 3 rounds and that and the Castillo fight are the only times i've seen Floyd look uncomfortable. Hatton cannot stick to any plan for longer than that before wanting to get into a brawl, hence Floyd being able to pick him off later on.
Manny is, of course, a better boxer than those two, but i cannot see past PBF on points. Mayweather is not a come forward fighter like Pacman's last 4 opponents. He will not walk forwards with his gloves up and take shots, he will constantly move around the ring and make Manny miss,. Then use his speed and accuracy to land shots on manny.

I don't think it will be that one-sided against Manny. Though I don't see a knock-out if ever they will fight each other, but what I see is someone winning with only a small advantage on points.

Pacman beats Mayweather by decision if that fight ever happens, and I reckon he'll win by being more aggressive. I see MAyweather spending a lot of that fight backing up and pawing at Pacman, and pushing him away, not dancing around and picking him off.

Read today that Jerry Jones is doing all he can to present
the fight at the new Texas Stadium.
Might be a fun idea. Anything to get away from Vegas.
