So, The Flyers come from behind and take the lead over The Devils only to damn near blow it and then have to pull it out in OT. At least we avoided the goddamned shootout. Fucking Philly...cursed.

And proof that hockey players are tough mofos! Missed a shift or two. And then scored the game winner.

I was there. Bummer  If you think Philly is cursed on the shoot out, then what does that make the Devils?

Yeah, I think we're pretty much in the same boat as far as shootout stats. :?

Devils have one - and it was from a rookie. And I saw Canucks beat Schneider in a shootout in NJ this year. That already puts you one ahead of NJ!

They even scored 6 for McElhenny last night. It will be nice when Gabby comes back.

I just want them to stay within sight of the playoffs before the Olympic break.

Yup, sure were tonight. I'd love to see Kesler, Edler and Hamhuis in a different area code.

Signing the Sedins for 4 more years was stupid considering we haven't surrounded them with other skilled players

Gillis should have been fired last year

Tortorella must be regretting his decision to go to a team that's filled with god damn plugs

This team is fucked for years

Schneider was a really big chip, and they did nothing to help themselves now in dealing him. Having watched Horvat at the World Juniors, I'm not so sure he will pan out, and Shinkaruk didn't even make the (bad) team.

Hogdson too. He should have netted them more than Kassian.

Bad asset management.

:?

Isn't he basically the best Canucks defenseman?

And the Ducks will kill regular season, but then be out in the 1st round of the playoffs.

we'll judge horvat once he's 24 or 26. shinkaruk was hurt. he has mad hands. he looked great in preseason. he lasted longer then most at camp.
schneider should have been worth more then what they got but word got out about his panic attacks and suddenly he wasn't as blue chip as they had hoped for. still wish the canucks would have jumped at nash and mason for schneids, hodgson and edler.

Marty St. Louis has 4 goals just 2 minutes into the second period today. Love to see him tie or break the record. It's a fucking TRAVESTY that he wasn't selected for the olympic team yet again.

Jackets just made it 6 in a row, and are in the thick of the playoff hunt.

Six out of the next seven are at home, too.

I'll take it.

Fuck that! Hartley is a chickenshit clown......shoulda been suspended for having no balls. Everyone bags on the Canucks for being too soft, they start standing up and they're dirty......fuck off.

I don't think anyone has a problem that Torts matched Hartley's goon line with a goon line, or even that he jawed at him on the bench a bit (or a lot). When he went to their room in the intermission, that's when he crossed the line.

In 1999, George McPhee (now GM of the Caps, not sure what he was then), broke Hawks' coach Lorne Molleken's jaw with a punch, during an intermission altercation in the hallway. McPhee was mad that Molleken laughed at a Cap whose face was bloodied during a fight. Since then, the NHL has been REALLY touchy about this sort of thing - not to mention Tortorella has a history.

The punishment fit the crime. Hartley's move was bush league though. He deserved the fine he got.

I love that Torts in the post game presser coming off all high and mighty saying what went on is bad for hockey but he's been involved in the last 2 NHL line brawls!! I'm surprised McGrattan didn't let adrenaline take over and punch Torts as he was the one separating Torts from going in there. If you watch the hallway video you can also see Bieksa in the back chirping at the Flames so that situation was a real timebomb. I can only imagine if one spark would have lit the match you could have a scene in that hallway that would have looked like an ECW Royal Rumble! The rematch in March should be a fun one that's for sure and having just jinxed it by saying that it will probably end up being a dud.
