Three teams were interested. Two of them (Buffalo, Oakland) McNabb would have refused the trade. He Ok'ed Washington. Andy Reid wanted to do a favor for a friend, so he also Ok'ed the deal. Better this than paying him 11 mil next year then having him walk and sign with whomever he wants (Washington included).

All I know is that Philly has 5 of the first 87 picks and a history of trading up. They need secondary and O Line help. The deal wasn't a stretch, and from what ESPN is saying, was the best one on the table.

Bummer. Wanted him in Oakland.

The good side is they should be able to compete and beat up their division and hopefully give Dallas a couple more losses next year.

The south Jersey ESPN radio affiliate is reporting that the Skins offered Albert Haynesworth as well but the Eagles didn't want him. Salary issues no doubt.
