Did anybody else catch the film last night on ESPN?

A lot of honest footage of himself and close friends talking about
how great he is, and how much of a pain in the ass he can be as well.

I forgot that a rapper was his agent when he signed with the Saints.
The contract was incentive laden and for shit.
Ditka commented that he probably would make the same trade again.
Is the guy a moron? I guess so.

Forgot how many times he carried the ball for the Dolphins for 2 seasons.
Now wonder the guy wanted to leave the game. His body was screaming for a rest and the Dolphins certainly were not going to give him the ball any less.

Ricky is very complicated, but if you look at the situation a little closer, football is not the most important thing in his life.
Neither was the weed. Ricky just wanted to seek some peace in his life.

He had a horrible childhood. Was forced to take photos of his naked father.
Felt like he had to be the man of the house at age 6.
Etc.............

Like pretty much every one of those 30 for 30 docs, this one was excellent. And I like that he actually has a kid named Blaze. Thought that was funny.

Well at the time they really couldn't, He was their offense and he bragged at being the work horse, I remember a game against BUF back then and takeo spikes was running his trap, Ricky boasted that he was gonna get the ball 50 times and run him over, the game went into OT and the dude just battered the fuck out of the tired bills and they won, afterwards he said he could go another half.

I feel bad about his youth and what his dad was said to have done, but he handled the whole retirement thing like a baby. Not to mention He threw away a possible HOF career, He was well on pace when he retired to go past the 10k yard mark and then some, and Jim Brown said he had the most lethal tools he'd ever seen any RB have, I always think someones an asshole for pissing that kind of talent away, He could have accomplished all that and retire at 35 and did whatever the fuck he wanted with money he earned. Sounds like a good deal to me.

He couldn't have kept those numbers up though. Running backs take a hell of a beating. And teams don't give a fuck. They'll run you into the ground until you're 30, then cut you like a motherfucker when you're after your last decent contract.
