This could be a good fight.

I'm taking Lesnar in the 2nd round by TKO.

Carwin has never even gone past the 1st round in his career, and Lesnar has only done it once, I believe.

Lesnar has gone past the 1st in 3 of his 5 fights. Doesn't matter, he's going to Donkey Kong Death Fist Carwin for the win. I like Carwin, but I think he's a little overrated and I see Brock taking him down and getting a GnP stoppage.

A toss-up. Depends on if Carwin can catch him and put him away with the big punch before Lesnar gets him down and beats him in the face repeatedly with those lunchbox hands.

Brock with the decisive win then promptly burying another one of UFC's big corporate sponsors during the post fight interview with Joe Rogan.

It's not going to be a scientific struggle, that's for sure. It's going to be "bowling shoe ugly". Lesnar, but not really convincingly.

You can't stop that fight when Brock was absorbing most of the damage with his arms. He was defending himself. You have to consider the fighter and the situation; Brock Lesnar, main event, world championship on the line, you have to give him an honest chance to fight out of it...which is what happened.

Yup. Carwin got rope-a-doped and gassed out in 3 minutes. All those punches were hitting his arms/gloves.

Some solid fights last night! Loved seeing Leben win, and Bonnar's fight was also good.

There is some promise for the next UFC as well. I hope Sonnen beats the fuck outta Silva, and there's also Guida and Big Country fighting! I'm in.

Fights were stopped earlier that night andRogan even said, "The ref will stop the fight if you just lay there and put your hands up." A completely accurate description of what Brock did for 3 minutes. He just layed there and didn't defend himself. The fight should have been stopped according to the UFC's own rules.

And that is what Lesner did...
Dana wont be able to hide/protect Brock for to much longer...

Brock pushed Shane off of him twice, and was trying to pull him down...a little more leeway is given in high profile fights. Rosenthal is actually one of the better newer refs.

That said, Alistair Overeem would have killed Brock Lesnar last night.

I have watched the fight three times and it never changes, Carwin still only lands 33% of his punches and doesn't really do as much damage as it appears. Lesnar blocked a significant amount of damage and weathered the onslaught by defending himself at all times, pushing off, kicking, etc. You have to let these guys fight! And well, the proof is out there, as Brock Lesnar won and got back up to his feet after all that initial shit happened.

With that being said, I was literally numb watching the beginning of the fight; when Lesnar back-peddled and then went down, there were three different times when I thought the fight was over, but two of those times was considering that the referee would erroneously step in and stop it. When Carwin stepped back to catch his breath and Lesnar just laid there, I thought he was done, glad I was wrong.

Nope. If even half of the punches Carwin landed were solid or not blocked, Lesnar would have been knocked the fuck out. How did Lesnar take so much punishment from a guy known as a pounder? By defending.

Fight shouldn't have been stopped, ref did a good job. Especially in a high-profile fight like that, you have to give them a chance to continue.
