Anybody here going to buy Silva's upcoming fight?
I think he is going to hand his opponent his ass.
This might end very quickly.

He is going to kill Sonnen.

I read somewhere that Sonnen has never been knocked out. It's always been a submission loss. I hope you are right because I cant stand Silva. He's a badass, but I cant stand him.

I hope Sonnen wins, but I think Silva will be a little more motivated than usual tonight and looking for a convincing win. Despite his lackluster performances the last few fights, Silva is a monster. I think he wins.

Tonight should be good! I have dinner riding on Big Country, ha ha. We also get to see Guida fight again, which is always fun. Throw in Fitch, and it should be a helluva night.

Like I said in the mma thread, I would like to see Anderson throwing bitchslaps to Chael's face for five rounds while avoiding the takedown.

He certainly has the skills and the arrogance to pull that off, and slaps can hurt a hell of a lot. Ask my girlfriend if you don't believe me.

Come on, Silva has knocked down a guy with a standing elbow. Why not with a pimp slap?

Also, I'm pretty sure those bitchslaps would hurt Dana White more than Sonnen.

I believe Sonnen ran his mouth way too much about what he's gonna do. I would love to see Sonnen with the win, but Silva is a master at getting his opponent away from their game plan. For example, Griffin was holding his own with the leg kicks and so on for the first round 'til Silva started with the "come on, hit me" crap.

I think it's a helluva fight card. Didn't know Guida, Hughes, Hazlett, or Fitch was fighting.

Sonnen is a total trip to listen to He believes his own bullshit, but I think deep down inside he knows he's going to get fucked up tonight.

Sonnen is a solid wrestler, and can take a punch. But Silva's punching power is incredible. If Sonnen gets this thing on the ground, I think he has a chance.
Yeah, the undercard is pretty good. I didnt realize it was that good until I took a look at the entire card.
I would love to purchase it, but money is a bit tight right now.
I do think the way Dana and UFC do the payperviews is great.
The one thing you dont realize watching ppv versus Spiketv is the amount of time the fighters have b/t rounds. What is it? 1 maybe 2 minutes real time? That's not a hell of alot of time inbetweeen to get a breather in.

Also, I like Nelson, but Junior Dos Santos is going to annihilate him.

Sonnen kind of tapped, but not really.
I watched the reply, and right before Silva locked the triangle, he hit Sonnen with a right that stunned him. within 10-15 seconds later, the triangle came.
Sonnen had the fight won. Should of, could of, would of.
I give the guy credit because he talked a lot of smack, and backed it up.
And he was more than gracious after the fight.

I have to say that Sonnen impressed the shit out of me. Had the fight won. Didn't figure he'd be able to back all that trash talk.

Dos Santos impressed me and disappointed me. He looked good but if he can't knock out Roy Nelson how is going to knock out Lesnar?

Silva vs Sonnen was a great fight but it was full of pussy soft punches.

I wanted to see a KO.

Silva nailed Sonnen with some kicks and punches. Sonnen walked through them. Those same punches/kicks ko'd Rich Franklin, Forrest Griffith, etc etc.

I loved Joe Rogan's reaction to end of fight. You can tell that he thought it was a great fight, but didnt want it to end in any kind of controversy.
Whether you like Joe R or not, he is great as an announcer. His love for the the sport is easy to see, and he knows his stuff.

Silva made a comment after fight about a pre fight rib injury.
Watching the fight again I noticed right after the 1st round ended, as he was walking to his corner, he made a gesture towards his ribcage area.
Hmmm.

Silva was lucky. Dominated for 4 and half rounds, but fair play for going till the end. What champions do.

Agreed. I'm not a big fan of Rogan as a comedian, podcast guest or TV guy, but his work on UFC is great.
