– Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin in one division.

– Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska and Northwestern in the other.

With the possibility of Ohio State and Michigan playing each other in back to back weeks (last game of the year and potential title game match up), I think it takes some of the luster off the rivalry game.

Can't disagree with the logic, although I am glad to see they didn't fuck with the Purdue/IU bucket game. Lets face IU is never gonna find themselves in a title game so......yeah.

If Michigan ever pulls their program's head out of their ass and competes again, that title game in back to back weeks would give the networks a license to print money.

Which is naturally the reason they set it up that way. I would have preferred an OSU, Michigan, Iowa, MSU, Illinois, Northwestern (vs) PSU, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indianna, Purdue split. You can still maintain most of your trophy games with your cross-division rival, plus the idea of Nebraska vs. OSU title game would garner just as many advertising dollars.
