OK I'm about as big a Yankee a Yankee fan there is, but that was some bush league shit right there. I expect it from 99% of MLB players, but not him. Very disappointed.

They did. I have to think though that Jeter's little show might have fired them up a bit.

He must be taking lessons from A Rod.

That just means that the next time these two teams get together and the score is no longer close in either direction that Jeter is going to take one between the shoulder blades.

We have way to good of a Playoff race to see guys get suspended. Now ain't the time. Although anything to fire up Tampa to beat the MFY is a good thing.

i saw the play this morning. like Jeter said, "you do anything you can to get on base. the umpire said the ball hit him and Jeter was not going to argue".
any MLB player would have also taken 1st base if the umpire said the ball hit the batter.

the main reason this play is being talked about is because Jeter was at the plate.

I've seen guys be awarded a base when it didn't hit them. It happens. My problem was the acting like it did.

I wouldn't have expected it from him. Like Bane said, I'd expect it more from ARod.
