I dig the banter onCBS' The NFL Today myself, but I also enjoy NFL Countdown on ESPN.
Anyone prefer FOX's NFL Sunday or NFLN's Gameday?

they all say the same thing about the analysis of the game.
And several of those guys need to take a proper way to
speak the english language class. How they got hired is beyond me!

"Sports journalist" does pretty much equal a guy who wasn't a good enough athlete to go pro, nor a good enough journalist to write real stories. Fox Sports is full of these type of meatheads.

Despite all of them being just straight up ego-fests, I like the ESPN broadcast.

They're all unbearable.

I watch the NFL Network until NFL Countdown starts.

My cable provider doesn't have NFLN When I had DirectTV I thought the NFLN coverage was ok. Really though, I don't think the NFL needs it's own network. "Thursday Night Football" should be on TNT or USA. The NFL was banking on millions of people demanding the channel, and no one has really batted an eye.

i watch the Vikings shows on Sunday morn on FSN North. other than that, they all suck.

ESPN by far......CBS is too dry and Fox is too yuck yuck yuck. ESPN has Tom Jackson, Ditka, Mort, and Schefter. I can't stand MEshon, but with all the others around him he's bearable. I also watch the NFL network until ESPN starts. Unless the Colts are playing, I immediately flip to the Redzone channel which is the greatest invention since sliced bread and the iPod.

I was flipping through channels the other week and got to the NFL Network and they were showing a sample of the Redzone thing from last season for the folks who weren't familiar with it, and it seemed really neat. If I was a bigger NFL fan I'd be all over that shit, no doubt.

I can't imagine that channel is for people who actually like football.

I watch local Browns shows and listen to them on the Browns Radio Network here as well.

Don't live there and never have. Directtv has all the the fox sports nets and all the NY channels like MSG and SNY for 7 bucks a month.

The first 3 weeks the Cuse werer even on those channels. Not last week though.

these shows all copy one another. hardly any originality for the 1 hour or 2 hours these shows are on the air.

i used to watch the Fox pre-game show every week.
now i could care less about the 1 hour program

these days i'll DVR the ESPN pre-game show. even though they take 2 hrs to preview the upcoming games, they do a better than average job.

My all time fave was when HBO's "Inside the NFL" had Len Dawson and Nick Buoniconti.

God I miss that show. It was beyond terrific. Even with screwy ass Glanville it was still awesome. That piece of shit they call Inside The NFL now blows by comparison. The old one was about the highlights, and focused on the highlights of EVERY game.... Now you get a few games and a lot more talking. Plus I miss Buoniconti saying Ollllllllllllindo Mare.

Yes, even when they (wrongfully) got rid of Len and Nick to be more "hip" and "current," it was still light years ahead of the other shows. Great show for handicapping my spot cards as well. The Showtime version is horrendous.
