How unfortunate for Sacramento. INT just outside the endzone leads to 2 points for the other guys.
Also, the commentator needs to stop sucking the refs' collective dick. Just makes the shit seem as corrupt as the NFL, which I imagine/hope it isn't.

What I've watched was not good. They are banking on the NFL being on strike next season.

Versus. The home of NHL hockey and the Tour De France. 5 viewers per evening.

This shit is for people who don't really like football but want to act like they do.

And Indy Car.
Well, I was gonna throw that in there, but since Indy Car is the only type of auto racing I'll watch, I didn't. Then again, as a cyclist, I watch Versus' coverage of cycling and I did throw it in there. I realize both sports are niche sports with a very limited fan base. I'd love to see Versus score the Thursday Night Football package, since no cable company in my market offers it.

I thought that was the idiotic college football.

Another stupid thing the UFL does is never same game times. Sometimes they are on Thursday night, sometimes Friday or Saturday nights and sometimes Saturday afternoons. Some nights kickoff is at 7, sometimes 8 or 9. I mean you have to actually hunt it down o actually watch it. Most people are not going to go to that much trouble.

This mostly comes from them being a young league without any clout when it comes to schedule requests.
Ever heard of dvr?

Yes I have...as a matter of fact every game this season is on it. Just mentioning that most people will not go through work to search for the UFL. I do...but I am a football junkie.

That doesnt even make sense
Anways this shit is a fucking retirement league. The guys are getting paid less than the CFL, and the football is worse.
Just banking on getting a strike season next year
America just aint set up to have a solid second tier pro football league. Almost every market without an NFL franchise can get great NCAA football.

Watched Sacramento vs las Vegas last night and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Football was decent which was the one thing that killed the XFL. Well except for Culpepper who threw 4 interceptions and looked awful. ForMer Indianpolis Colt and Super Bowl champion, Dee Dee Dorsey looked great....still can't figure out why that guy can't stick in th NFL. And Vegas has some guy named Marcel Shipp who looked dangerous. Looks like Rattay is probably done for the year with an achilles though.
Thursday night " should have been the Super Bowl MVP for the Colts", Dominic Rhodes and Florida take on Culpepper and the terribly coached Sacramento team. (Dennis Green....Nuff said). Kind of looking forward to it.

I don't understand that comment. Despite the BCS, which is more corrupt than Don King, college athletes are still kids out there for the love of the game. What's not to love about that? College football athletes are the lucky few who made it from Friday nights under the lights, to Saturday afternoons on the field. I love going down to Ohio University and watching those kids play.

To a degree you are right, but not every one of those kids is playing for the love. many of them are playing to get paid to play on Sundays.

So do you only watch High School and below??? I don't get it. Do you watch the pros but boycott college?

i think you have it wrong. I didn't say shit about college to begin with, I just don't think every college player plays for the love of the game. No, I like the NFl (my favorite sport) and college a little bit.

You are correct sir, my original quote and question was directed at rageman who said college football was for people who pretend to like football. That, to me, makes no sense.
And for the record, you are right about the football factory schools. I'm in the Columbus Metro area, but I'm not a "Buckeye." OU grad and OU fan. The kids in the MAC, 99% of 'em, are playing for the love of the game. I have some former students down there as we speak. They know they aren't going pro, but they are happy to play the game they love every week.
