It is usually guys like this that NEVER played football in high school an/or college. The older I get the more stupid I think grown men look when they get so wrapped up in a sports team.

Yeah, Fireman Ed is a little much. When the Jets were in the playoffs last year the Daily News gave him a ghost-written column which was kind of awesome though.

Wild Bill Hagy was the original drunk superfan. Dancin' Homer is clearly based on this Baltimore cab driver who used to spell out "Orioles" on top of the dugout from section 34. Section 34 was the "bring your own beer cooler" section. No shit - BYOB at major league baseball.

Bill quit coming to games in 1985 when they outlawed the BYOB policy, which, not coincidentally, is when the Os started their 3 decade long suck streak.

I don't mind most of the super fans like barrel man for the Broncos, but fireman ed blows.

Alot of Jets fans don't like him either. He didn't even create the J-E-T-S chant. It used to be a competition between the two end zones to see who can do it louder, that is until Ed got involved.

I saw an interview where he said he used to be a cowboys fan.
