Would love to see Moss leave the AFC.

Trade is done. Patriots got back a 3rd rounder for Moss. Can we say the Patriots are officially rebuilding?

The hoodie has decided that he doesn't need an offense this year. He'll just let his special teams do all the work.

E: because hoddie is not a word.

Moss shot his way out of town. He went off about his contract in the spring and again after the first game. A few days later he demanded a trade, and then he started causing problems in the locker room. There was an incident on the way back from Miami the other night and another one yesterday that caused Belichick to postpone his day after the game radio interview. The Vikings had started ramping things up after they lost out on Jackson from SD and the Patriots had finally decided enough was enough and that they needed to take what they could get for Moss.

I think this definitely hurts them this season without Moss around to draw 2 defenders and stretch the defense, although signs have pointed to them trying to change the offense into more of a ball control offense with a smash mouth running back and more 2 tight end sets.

For the 2011 draft New England now has 2 picks in each of the first 4 rounds. If they decide to hang on to them and get quality instead of trading down for value they can add to a very young core and have a very good team for a long time. Figure 4 of the first 60 picks to add a pass rusher, and outside linebacker, a left tackle, and another running back. And then another 4 of the next 60 or so picks to add depth on the offensive & defensive lines, linebackers, and defensive backs.

I wish they had been able to work things out with Moss but if the guy was causing problems he had to go.

Yeah, that was spot-on.

Two more incidents involving Moss have come out. During the game the other night he was trying to gather players together during the national anthem and clashed with some other veterans that told him to stop. There was also a problem between Moss and Brady after Brady said something to him during practice that has been on-going for several weeks.

I really liked the move to bring Moss to NE and he was great for close to 3 seasons before his old tendencies started to show but he stayed true to form and became a problem and needed to go. He will be Minn's headache now.

I'm still shocked he has 0 rings...guess I just assumed.

Still think Favre doesn't finish the season upright for the Vikes. Their o-line is going to get him killed and he already is struggling on the walk from the car to the stadium. This move definitely helps though. Moss in a contract year is a dangerous Moss. Although the schedule isn't doing them any favors.

We will take that headache!

This could only help the Vikes this year. If the o-line can protect Favre, it could be great. Favre needs to be able to throw it deep with some mustard. A few of the times he's thrown it deep this year were under thrown.

Favre definitely looks older this season, so far. Last year seemed to be "the" year. Oh well. Welcome back, Randy!!!

It's all about Bert, MOSS will save him at least half a dozen INT's.

Hoodie's timing on this is perfect. They weren't going to re-sign him. They've got a bye this week, giving them ample time to rework some things for Brandon Tate and probably even Aaron Hernandez. And I'm sure Bill thinks Moss can actually help Minny beat the Jets this MOnday.

Yeah but Moss won't save him from his offensive line. I still believe Brett doesn't finish the season.

The only way that old fuck won't play is if it a season ending injury. He will play through everything else.
