Word is McDaniels is going back to the Patriots for next season. I can't see how either one of them lasts the rest of this season. Singletary should have been gone weeks ago. They are saying the only reason Singletary, McDaniels and Phillips still have jobs is because of the potential strike and the owners not wanting to pay guaranteed salaries for 2 coaches if there are no games.

Rumor is that Jim Harbaugh will be running the show in SF next year. That would be a cool thing. I like Singletary though but I bet he's too intense for the locker room and is probably losing players.johnk5150 wrote:Over/Under on coach can't do it being fired. 3 weeks.

It's sad when my favorite football team is so shitty that I don't even really care that the 3rd stringer is playing. While I usually don't give head coaches as much credit for the success or failure of a team as many do, I have to say that the playcalling for the 49ers this season has been pretty atrocious (though firing Jimmy Raye definitely helped). It's just frustrating watching this team go 1 and 6 'cause there's definitely talent there.

its the price Niners paid for hiring a head coach who had never been any higher up than a linebackers coach...its such a shame what my once great team has been reduced to
