So,,, who's it going to be?
All predictions point to GSP.
I dont know about that, Koschek has developed a heavy
hand lately, and if he can land one, GSP could be in trouble.
Should be a good fight though. The undercard isnt too impressive.
Different subject-
Lately I've watched a number of Cain Velasquez fights pre Brock
Lesner fight.
What was the Lesner camp thinking?
Velasquez has some mad wrestling skills & can take a shot bigtime.
Lesner's gameplan wasnt a good one to say the least.
I dont see any heavyweights coming down the pike that can beat Velasquez. But then again, it seems any fighter that becomes the champion lasts maybe 3 title fights before he is beaten. I dont see that
with Velasquez.

I've only recently gotten interested in UFC and not really a big fan but this fight has peaked my interest in the sport more than any other.

I've been a fan for well over a year or two. I used to watch all the fights as reruns on Spike. It's been only the last 6 months or so that I have been watching pay per views. I bought the first 2 or 3, but somebody turned me onto a website where you can watch for free. Ever since then I have been hooked. The Spike reruns do no justice to the actual live event whatsoever.
The Lesner/Valesquez fight had major hype.
Personally I think the fight of the year was Sonnen vs Silva. Too bad it was tainted by Sonnen's steroid use. But he had a trial, and the interviews I have seen of him I buy his reasons & believe him.
I use to be a BIG boxing fan, but that sport has only a few fighters that spark any interest, and I think that fighting sports such as boxing have evolved into what the MMA/UFC is today with no looking back.

I've been watching UFC for about three years now, really enjoy it. Every PPV I go to my dad's place and we bet each other. $10 per fight for the prelims, $20 for PPV, loser picks the next fight.
I think and hope Koschek can take out GSP. Most champions eventually lose, and it may be GSP's time.
Other than that fight it's not a big-name draw. That usually means a bunch of good fights.

Almost all of the fights except the top two are fights where each fighter has been losing fights & needs to win to remain relevant in the UFC.
You are right, no big draws but will be some decent fights.
I love the UFC fights but could careless about the Ultimate Fighter show. I just want to see these guys fight not how they live with a bunch of other guys.

I think Lesnar's camp got arrogant and figured that he could just show up and bully Cain around.
I want GSP to wipe the smirk off of Koschek's face.

I think you are right.
I wonder if they even bothered to watch tapes on Cain.
He got rocked in the Congo fight, and still managed to destroy
Congo.
And the Lesner/Carwin fight was the same as the Lesner/Cain
fight, except Valasquez finished him.
I would like to see Koschek knock out GSP because I cant stand listening to GSP talk. He starts off speaking english, then it goes into nonsense talk.

yeah, its a good site.
At first getting into clean showing takes a few minutes, but more feeds always kick in.
Great night of fights! Great knockouts! Great submissions!
GSP won because of that jab. Happened early on, and he kept tapping it.
Koschek couldnt get anything going. But once his eye was shut, it was over.
Did you see in the post fight interview when Joe Rogan went to shake Josh's hand, and Josh didnt even see Joe extending his hand to shake.
Impressed big time with that tall skinny guy.
Joe Daddy is done.
125 looks to be a solid night of fights. Looking forward to it!

I really dont like Koschek...but it was actually painful to keep watching him get the proverbial shit kicked out of him...he had absolutely nothing to offer as far as a defense against GSP!
I didnt watch any of the other fights...didnt see the link soon enough...

They were both a little too cautious in that fight, neither willing to engage and throw bombs, GSP's jab and movement were just too good for Koscheck. I think Koscheck should have just kept coming forward and just thrown instead of eating those jabs and trying to get a take down or trying to time an overhand right. Koscheck just looked helpless. I have respect for him taking such punishment and still trying to fight on, but his game plan was flawed, and he didn't listen to his corner men who told him to just let loose.

Agree, but it seems like every time Koscheck tried to move in close GSP hit that eye with another jab. His vision had to be totally fucked up by the middle of the second round.
Lots of good fights last night!

I agree as well.
Also, I dont think Koscheck got the shit beat out of him at all.
His eye was a problem by the third or fourth jab that GSP landed.
All GSP had to do was keep landing that one punch. Koschek was a one eye fighter by the end of 2nd beginning of 3rd round.
But yeah, both fighters were overly cautious. Koschek had to be because of the eye, while GSP was out of respect to Koschek's right hand bomb.
Very similiar to the Machida/Jackson fight from a couple of weeks ago.
