He keeps saying the authorities are out to get him and are stealing his shit. Gimme a break, he did this to himself.

Dykstra's been a total scumbag swindler for quite a while now and it finally caught up with him. ESPN ran an article a few years ago of his shady dealings of trying to swindle athletes fortunes by offering financial investment services, fucking every one of his vendors, limo drivers,weaving his way through shady home ownerships, foreclosures, you name it. He used his star power to fuck everybody he could with ponzi schemes, robbing Peter to pay Paul, it just goes on. He's a sociopathic narcissist who keeps going until somebody offs him. You can bet that he'll do his best to weasel out of these charges too with no remorse for any of his actions.

I just read that former employee article. That was a good article from an "insider" of Dykstra's house of cards. It even further cements this guy's piece of shit status. I'm sure that there's more than a few people out there that wouldn't mind seeing this guy eat lead.

I remember hearing an interview with Mitch Williams on Rome a while back and he said that Dykstra had the highest baseball iq of any player he met but had zero common sense outside of the sport.
I really didn't know what he was talking about at the time.

Wow, I had no idea he was this big of a piece of shit.

Lenny Dykstra pleads not guilty

SAN FERNANDO, Calif. -- Former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Lenny Dykstra has pleaded not guilty to grand theft auto and drug possession charges.

The 48-year-old entered his plea Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court and remains in jail on $500,000 bail. He is scheduled to return to court July 11.

Dykstra was charged with 25 counts and faces up to 12 years in prison if convicted.

Prosecutors say Dykstra, his accountant and a friend leased three high-end cars from a Southern California dealership this year by providing phony information and claiming credit through a phony business.

Officers who arrested Dykstra at his Los Angeles home in April say they found cocaine, Ecstasy and synthetic human growth hormone.

On Monday, Dykstra pleaded not guilty to bankruptcy fraud in federal court.
