Sludge Fantasy Football Enters It's 9th Year!

Post by NickasInSaltLick »

Renewed the yahoo 16-Team IDP league with the good news this morning. We'll draft right after the last preseason game. Everyone that played last year should have received an email, but the next fifteen teams are in.

League Name: Sludge Fantasy Football 2011
League ID#: ID# 157476
password: sludge

Bring it on!

I get

There was a problem
There is not room in this league if all teams from last year return. To join, get the commissioner to increase the maximum number of teams, or remove teams that will not be returning. (Error #638)

Try it again. That seemed to be a new wrinkle in their registration system. Everybody from last year got an email invite today, but I went and deleted the spots to those that haven't joined yet, so it's a free for all now. We've got room for nine more.

Back to defend my title.

It took a long time to get to the top...I'm not giving it up easily.

I'm definitely not the type to run a draft until all is settled. Don't worry about that. I've never understood why people sometimes push for an early draft, especially for the NFL where just about anybody's knee can explode at any given moment.

I played at my old job and my team's name was (off constantly) that way if I lost the winner could go around bragging to everybody I beat off constantly.
Good luck to everybody who plays these next few days are going to be the busiest off-season moves ever.

Should be fun. I usually do two leagues, so this is my second one for this year. This will be our 10th year for my local league. We have 12 teams and 8 of us have been in it since the first year. We do a live draft at a local bar and it usually gets pretty wild.

i started a league in 94 of 12 and half the original guys are still in it, and somebody almost has to die to get in it. I finally won it last year after dominating many times and never winning.

I've won once and came in second once. One guy has won three time and placed second twice. He just seems to know when to trade players right before they go downhill for the season. He really pisses me off! :D One year his first five draft picks were RBs. We all laughed, but he had plenty of trade bait and won that year.

That's pretty damn impressive to have that many owners in one league that long.

Because it's mostly for fun, It cost like 56 bucks a person per season and the winner gets 200 bucks. It's all about fucking with each other, not about money. Those big money leagues have a big turnover.

I'll run it a week from tomorrow when all the preseason games are done and ya'll can get rid of all the injuries from your rankings. I'll post here before I change the draft status.
