Carson Palmer headed to Oakland

Great move for the Raiders. This will push them into being a serious contender for a deep playoff run. They've got some talent on that team for Carson to work with.

They have to win a playoff game this season for it to be a 1st rounder.
The Raiders haven't won a playoff game in a very long time.
If not, it's a 2012 1st rounder, and a 2013 second rounder.

The deal works great for the short term, but now your stuck with pretty much no good or decent picks in 2012. And ya if you don't make the playoffs this year its so much for next year already.

Campbell will be healthy in a few weeks and if Carson plays like he did yesterday (and trust me, his best days are behind him) Campbell may well be starting again.

Carson has some life left in him, as he showed last night. They have some pieces, and getting a solid QB for the next 4 seasons makes the price worth it.

Carson is a bum. We've known this in Ohio for quite some time. He won't be leading the Raiders anywhere any time soon.

That's fine. I wouldn't expect too many people from sunny southern states to appreciate any midwestern state. However, I don't expect a quarterback who has never won an NFL playoff game in his entire career to be such a diva. Carson Palmer has no better character than Ryan Leaf.
