Joe Paterno is out within days / weeks reports are saying. This is the end of his legacy at Penn State.eddie lee roth wrote:100 dollars says Jerry Sandusky is Roman Catholic.

Which man?tottyspotter wrote:Let's not convict the man before he has had his day in court.
Duh, Sandusky! You know, the one who had his cock in the underage kid's asshole? Geez. And I think Paterno knew more about Sandusky's shenanigans than he is letting on.Crazy Levi wrote:Which man?tottyspotter wrote:Let's not convict the man before he has had his day in court.
Paterno isn't headed to court.
This won't go to trial. Sandusky is going to end up pleading guilty I'm sure. He doesn't have a chance in hell if this goes to trial. Maybe he can negotiate a life sentence closer to home or something.tottyspotter wrote:Duh, Sandusky! You know, the one who had his cock in the underage kid's asshole? Geez. If this is true, how can anybody point the finger at JoPa.Calexxia wrote:"On Monday law enforcement officials said that Paterno had met his legal obligation in alerting his superiors at the university when he learned of the 2002 allegation against Sandusky. But they suggested he might well have failed a moral test for what to do when confronted with such a disturbing allegation involving a child not even in his teens. No one at the university alerted the police or pursued the matter to determine the well-being of the child involved. The identity of that child remains unknown, according to the Attorney General."
This, from the NYT. Paterno knew, and did only what was REQUIRED, by reporting it to school officials.
If you knew that your colleague was molesting children, you told your boss and yet you will see that colleague coming to work everyday with a smile on his perverted face and not behind bars - would you then ask questions and take the proper steps to make sure he/she got in trouble or would you sit back content knowing that you told your boss and that's enough?Machado wrote:If this is true, how can anybody point the finger at JoPa.Calexxia wrote:"On Monday law enforcement officials said that Paterno had met his legal obligation in alerting his superiors at the university when he learned of the 2002 allegation against Sandusky. He has bosses. He reports to people higher up in the corporate ladder.
Those morons should take the fall.
That's why we have turned into such a puss society - I'd like to punch that Ahole Grad student in the teeth. A former football player who did only what he was legally required to do - motherfucker could of stepped in and stopped the assault. Seriously now, you are big enough to have played college football, you walk in a locker room and see a grown man sexually assaulting a 10 year old boy and your reaction is to go tell your Dad and the football coach, you don't jump in and say "what the fuck" and help the kid out? Pretty weak effort and you fail as a human.Machado wrote:If this is true, how can anybody point the finger at JoPa.Calexxia wrote:"On Monday law enforcement officials said that Paterno had met his legal obligation in alerting his superiors at the university when he learned of the 2002 allegation against Sandusky. Not quite - they are saying he retires after this season. That's still a long time from now.johnk5150 wrote:AP reporting he's toast.Anne_Thrax wrote:Paterno is history. He's done.
Errr...I don't think anybody actually thinks they were going to go in that direction, but thanks for affirming that indeed there's not much positive to find in the sexual abuse of kids and a resulting cover up.Machado wrote: No way in hell the school or Jo Pa can spin this story into a positive direction.
