Mike Brown is a good coach, Jim Buss should be taking the heat for inloading Odom for nothing but a pick in return. Bynum comes back on Saturday. No panic.

I like Mike Brown, actually like him a lot.
Odom- good riddance. You never knew what Odom was
going to show up. One game he will have a 18 points/15 rebounds, and the next he is 4 & 5. I'm cool with McRoberts & Murphy.
I like the way Brown is using Meta World Peace.
We desperately need a point guard.
Oh yeah, with Odom gone, good riddance to that skanky Kardasian skank.
Yes, Bynum comes back after tonight. We will be even better.
Unless the Magic & Lakers have a deal worked out. Rumor has it that if it is Gasol & Bynum, Magic will have to send pg Nelson. No way do the Lakers send BOTH Gasol & Bynum. No f'n way!

I'm willing to give Brown more than three games and the ability to coach with his full lineup before making my assumption

Mitch is not the problem.
He's made some killer deals. Getting Gasol.
Getting Ariza. At the time Shannon Brown was a good pick up.
He got Paul to Los Angeles, but the f'n dipstick of a commissioner
pulled the plug on the deal.
Mitch is alright in my book.

Mike Brown is a fine coach and was a fall guy for Lebron in Cleveland. When Lebron was lying to Dan Gilbert about staying one of his "demands," was Mike Brown be gone. So Gilbert axed him. Otherwise, he'd still be employed in Cleveland...so in reality Lebron did Mike Brown a favor, because it's going to take a while to get Cleveland back to the playoffs. I think Byron Scott is the perfect coach for the job though. Lakers fans, once Brown's system is implemented and their roster complete, you'll be happy with him.

Agree with everything you wrote,
I like the energy he brings, and I can tell the players are buying into his system. I cant wait to see what happens when Bynum is back.

Replacing Phil Jackson has to be the most highly pressurized job in all of professional sports. Mike Brown is under quite a microscope. He's a defensive minded coach. This guy was coach of the year once and has been to the Finals. He knows what he is doing. Very affable with the fans and press, too. Just give him time. "Time Khan, time!" As for Byron Scott, I fear he is going to be one of those coaches that comes in, fixes teams, but doesn't get to stick around long enough to grab a ring.

Mitch is alright in my book.
He decided to roll with a man made of glass for a Center and didn't bother replacing the carcass known as Derek Fisher. Nor did they make any moves to strengthen the bench or get rid of Luke Walton. And let's not forget the idea of sticking Kwame Brown and Smush Parker as Kobe's sidekicks. Still better than Kaaaahhhnnn! though.

I think he did replace Fisher, but the Commish pulled the plug on it.
Dont forget those kind of deals just dont happen in an hour. My guess is it was worked on from the minute the lockout ended until it was dead. McRoberts doesnt strengthen the bench? Murphy isnt pulling his weight? What do you want him to do with Walton? Trade him? Who would take him? Amnesty him? Maybe he thought about it, but will do it when the time is right. Maybe he was hoping Walton would retire. There was talk about that going on. Kwame Brown brought the Lakers Pau Gasol. Who did that deal? Smush Parker had the opportunity any nba player would want, but blew it himself. Do I need to go on?
Know your basketball.

You do have a valid point.

Mike brown should be thankful he is not stuck in that pit of Cleveland. They are doomed.

Between coach Byron Scott, veteran Jamison, and rookie Irving...there are glimmers of hope in Cleveland. Life goes without LeBron. I have ticket stubs to Cavs game that predate Lebron's birth. I'm fine with him gone.
