Tim Tebow - What if he was a black man?

If he was black, would the mainstream media make fun of his convictions and way he lives his life like they do now?? Or would they say he is "grounded" from a strong upbringing by his mother. Since he is a white guy who loves God and walks the walk he is frowned upon, but if he was of color would the media shy away? Hmmm.......

The 'mainstream media' treats Josh Hamilton just fine. Maybe Tebow needs to prove he can play with a bit more consistency and they'll lay off.

Hamilton is always referred to that ex drug addict. Yes, he is a helluva player too, but somehow hsi drug abuse always enters into the conversation. Plus, Josh does not live the life that Tebow does. He never has.

Yes. If Tebow were goddamn black and he did black power salutes between every play, and in post-game interviews he started everything off with "As a black man..." you can be goddamn sure people would be making fun of him.
If he was muslim and he dropped down and faced Mecca after every touchdown people would make jokes about it.
If he were Asian and every time he completed a pass (that's like, 3 times per game for Tebow) he screamed something in Chinese and started doing karate moves, yes, people would make fun of him.

Hell, if he were a Muslim the president and ophah would be all over him with love. Vince Young has nothing to do with this conversation. Maybe if he had been a 3rd or 4th round draft instead he would noy be so much of a bust. But hell, he lead the Broncos to the playoffs this year. Not a bad bust.

The Bronco defense and running game led them to the playoffs. Tebow is an overhyped, first round scrub. Just like Vince Young.

He's not? The jury is still out. He's looked terrible 3 weeks running. He's going to flop horribly in the playoffs.
The Broncos TRADED UP to get this stiff when he was projected as a late 2nd rounder. If things keep going the way they are, he certainly is a bust.
And they've wasted this season on trying to prove it. If they'd just stuck with Orton they'd be ahead of the game.

Yes, that's always going to be talked about and he seems fine with it; also, though, he's an outspoken Christian (see, for instance, his Letterman appearance) and I haven't heard anyone make fun of him for it. And he doesn't appear to be a black.
Of course, he hasn't convinced 6 million women to not have abortions or whatever.

and yes Tebows God made those teams lose. I saw it in person in San Diego

Yeah, everything is going so great with Tebow that Quinn got half the snaps with the first team offense this week in practice. Because teams always prep their QBs for their first playoff game by taking away their practice reps.
